And yet, I keep getting back in the sandbox and having a good ol’ romp. Despite it’s flaws, 343 got Halo Infinite right where it counts.

Look, I get it. I’m not too happy over these problems either but this isn’t adding anything. It’s just more of the same of what we’ve been hearing for weeks. At this point, it’s what we got at launch and there’s nothing we can do about that. What we can do is put ideas out there as to how we’d like it all changed moving forward.

I’m not trying to diminish these problems because they are very real problems right now. 343 undoubtedly dropped the ball in some areas. But this post is just complaining for complaining sake. It’s a quintessential example of complaining vs constructive criticism.

I’m getting really tired of people pulling that same old line " this isn’t doing anything".

It is. Every single player deserves to express their frustrations and if it had to be said a thousand times then so be it. It’s time they get the message. No more “were listening”. No more “road maps”. No more “ui is hard”.

WE WANT ACTION. at this point if I was them I would pull the game. Entirely. Work on it for a year or two and come back with the proper content. If it’s not better than reach and Halo 5 content wise then it’s a failure. Period.

Don’t let anyone tell you that you don’t have the right to say these things. Right on man. This is exactly how I feel.

It’s a dystopian nightmare

Pointing out flaws and how they should be corrected absolutely does something. Pointing out flaws that they’re already aware are flaws does not. I’m not saying stop criticizing it. I’m saying dig deeper than surface level to point out exactly what’s wrong. So many complaints are like saying “this steak is bad” without saying whether it’s over cooked, undercooked, not seasoned enough, etc.

Also, there is 0% chance they pull it. Like, that’s just not gonna happen. Nothing could possibly convince them to do that. Which is the heart of what I’m saying. Don’t spend time focusing on things that you can’t change, focus on those you can. Point out that the pricing is too high and what would be fair to you, specific problems with balancing, what would be an acceptable number of maps, etc.

You wanna know what the solution is.

Pull the game. Seriously. That’s the fix. After this launch there is no going back. I’m not supporting this game any father than playing multiplayer. They already said they are working on this for 10 years so they have no chance to redeem themselves when it comes to launch. That’s why they have to pull it. The ultimate Halo on everyone’s mind right now is not what the game is about. It’s what it released with. Halo reach and Halo 5 were the most content rich games on launch and Halo 5 was bashed for a bare launch so imagine infinite. A lot of the problems are due to stuff always coming later. Gamers don’t want drip fed content. They want the opposite. Paid expansions. Fully paid games that has all content at launch. This fight is much bigger than Halo

Again…that’s not going to happen. They were barely even able to convince Microsoft to give them the delay, they’re not going to pull it for another two year delay.

This is exactly what I’m talking about. Does the lack of content suck? Yeah, no way around it. It does. But you’re putting all this energy into an unrealistic course. The chances of successfully convincing them to do that are about on par with finding a genie and just wishing it better.

You basically have three options. Stop playing, keep playing but voice where and how they should improve, or wallow in frustration over something that can’t be changed.

I feel like you think I’m happy with the game’s state. I’m not, but I can also realize that logically we can’t retroactively fix these problems and literally the only way it can improve is to do it over time. It’s not the ideal situation, but it’s the one we have right now.

Female Spartans can’t even feel accurately represented in this game. There’s bare bone features that are just not here. If the game can’t be pulled then pull the store. Make everything free. That would be a good place to start. There shouldn’t be a store In Halo.

Bring collision back. Man the list goes on. It’s an early access at best. Alpha at worst not even beta because it’s missing that much

There, the lack of female body representation is a perfectly valid criticism. Something specific and tangible. Same with player collision, which I agree with.

The store, much like the game itself, isn’t going to be pulled though. That’s another overreach. No business in the world is going to completely sever their income source. But I do think the prices are too high and people should continuously point out what a fair amount for things should be.

See a whole lot of ranting but no constructive criticism here.
