Just the general quality of life feels so much better now. Being able to set my up and down sensitivity to the same number feels fantastic, as does being able to turn on region lock as and when I like. I haven’t had one shot not register or found myself being shot through a wall yet, but I can still find games in the less populated playlists! The new post game stats are fantastic too. All these little things make Halo feel great again, not to mention Infection and the new forge! You’re doing good 343, the future is looking bright again for Halo.

I hope Microsft heavily advertises Halo 5 this summer. Somehow MoR fixed my laggy connection, added Infection back, I can go on and on about Forge, and the proleague is starting up. It feels like HAlo 5 has been reborn, and it deserves some spotlight

It was that matchmaking preferences they added
Eh, I know that the current high isn’t going to last long, because post launch content drops never really work, and they didn’t really work for the last several updates.

How do you know what the population is? Just curious

Well, people hear about the new content drop, play it for a bit, get bored and go back to a different game. It’s been like that since Battle of Light and Shadow.

Well in the UK, when region lock is on it is almost impossible to find a game in FFA for example. I would assume this is because there aren’t enough players in my region playing it. Other playlists like Team Arena find matches almost immediately with region lock on.
I am forced to disagree, as much as I don’t want to. In some aspects it’s better but in many more ways it’s a step backwards. The UI is quite horrendous. Post game carnage was added which was nice, but armor selection is a horrific nightmare.
There are also just too many things missing for me to consider this a complete package. I’m not denying their steps in the right direction. And so far their response to requests from fans has been very good. But the list of what is still MIA is just too long.
I’m worried for Halo 6. Not saying Bungie was perfect, but at least with them the list of what won’t be in the game was much shorter. Bungie only ever added content. Reach had questionable game play but was brimming with content. Halo 5 has awesome game play but shipped with less than Halo 2. Both games had mediocre campaigns at best.
I just want Halo to get it right. I don’t know how long it will be around. I assume as long as it sells well it will be here. But I also want it to go out the way it deserves whenever that does happen. Halo has been a huge part of so many of our lives.

Yes, you are right. Halo 5 has gone from a hollow caucus of a game into a half full caucus of a game. It’s far from a complete game but if it carries on improving at it’s current rate it will end up being the best Halo yet. Obviously it’s so cheap that 343 released half a game in the first place, but Halo’s future it beginning to look bright again. If 343 release Halo 6 without all the content we expect I am giving up AAA gaming for good and move onto indie games because it’s turning into such a shameful industry.

I’ve always thought of it this way, if they’d held off on release till they covered everything, Halo 5 wouldn’t even be out yet. I personally like that I was able to play some of it early as it were, its better than nothing. As long as the remaining content is free, which it has been, I’m happy
