Halo feels outdated...

Come on 343, I hope Halo 4 doesn’t turn out to be like the old:

Team A and Team B spawn. Both teams rush power weapons. Only power weapons available are Rockets and Snipers. Team A gets power weapons and wins.

Repeat.

And I hope there isn’t another Countdown where the guy who gets the Shotgun can carry his whole team to victory.

Though I feel that 343i need to mix it up a little, I don’t think they should take out the core gameplay (slayer in mind) it’s too important to some of the community to see that fade away like dust in the wind.

You feel out dated.

Whilst I have a genuine affinity for your statement regarding power weapons, I think I’ll distance myself from this thread before the masses arrive and unleash their scathing criticisms. Good luck.

The only thing that we can do is just wait, that is all. When the finished product is done then you can talk about it being outdated, this game isn’t out and you are saying it is outdated. Just wait. Wait.

Well isn’t rushing for power weapons map control? Map control makes the game fun in my opinion. We should just place the weapons wisely.

> You feel out dated.

Lol. I was going to say that.

OP, what the hell do you expect?? Its an FPS for -Yoink- sakes. Team A has guns, team B has guns, team A and B both want to win, there’s only one way to win, team A and B fight till the timer rings or till a team wins by most kills. If you don’t want it to be a little more interesting then play some objective game types. As for the power weapon thing, power weapons aren’t that hard to counter.

Halo plays like Halo and thats what its supposed to do. If you have gotten tired of the formula than you should move on. I want Halo to stick with what it does best because thats why I play it. Why would you want it to play like everything else?

Map control = strategy + teamwork

Looking at your VAST experience of MM on the halo game(s) I beg to differ.

Completely agree with you, OP.

No. Teams usually spawn with the same weapons, and same power weapons around them. Even if they arn’t the same weapons as the other side, they usually have the same value, for example a shotgun and a sniper (Guardian), both an advantage in certain situations, but disadvantages in some. And power weapons usually spawn in the middle of the map or where both the teams can get to them in the same amount of time. They are not slanted toward one team. Why do you think developers have tests on multiplayer to see if the chances of winning are equal for both teams? The only real variable is skill. And as for countdown, both teams spawn close to both the energy sword and the shotgun, so it isn’t unfair for anyone, if Team A went for one, Team B could go for the other. As I said, skill will determine the outcome of a match, not just what weapons a team has control of.

see this is the problem… to many people want a game stuffed to the rim of random useless things (COD), Halo is famous for this simple addicting balanced game play, you sound like someone who isn’t a real halo fan. let alone someone who understands it.

Your mom feels outdated.

OT: Mix it up a little, but don’t take out the core “Skilled pwns, noob owned” style of gameplay.

PS: No spawn camping pls!!!
