If infinite has platform based and input based options like MCC for both socials and ranked (but specially ranked), everybody will be happy!! Period

As long as I’m having fun in close pitched games… with players of similar rank… I don’t care re: platform or input.
Yeah they really don’t, most people don’t care.
Why does it matter what input they’re using in social? It uses skill based matchmaking. If you get your butt kicked by a better player it doesn’t matter what they’re using, they’re just better than you.
While I am personally a fan of cross play and the larger audience it brings to games, there will be options in Halo Infinite for limiting cross play and input methods. For ranked they will have a playlist just for controller input, one for keyboard and mouse input, and a third for cross inputs with both KB+M and Controller. For social it will be all a mixed bag but I believe that there is a system setting for Xbox that turns off cross play system-wide so that will be an option for you to use.
