It’s such a shame that you don’t get rewarded with anything other than a sense of pride and accomplishment. The answer to your second question, OP, is no.

Sure, that a good point you make here, Legendary player give so much to finish the game.

Sadly, 343 haven’t kept the good ideas they had for Halo 4
There is a “Legendary ending” for Halo 5 that you don’t see when finishing the campaign on lower difficulties. And there is the associated achievement(s). Other than that, there are no rewards.
You get an achivement,a cutscene and the feeling of finishing it on legendary.
Achievement and cutscene and a sense of accomplishment.
I feel a little bit of deception when the cutscene comes, it’s very short and don’t explain a lot of thing, counter to the Halo 4’s ending. When the Didact speak and explain us why he had do this.
An achievement with gamer score and a legendary ending that is different than the lower difficulty levels. While it’s nice to be able to unlock cosmetics via achievements it’s not necessary IMO. It’s kinda a shame to see some act as if beating the game now isn’t worth it since they don’t get some sort of digital trinket. But for the record hopefully in H6 more stuff I unlocked via achievements of some sort.

That is kinda a good thing seeing how H5 campaign seems to be even more disliked than H4s.

Yes, that is something I did quite like, imo it would’ve been cool if they spoke to each other in that cutscene
