Halo Downloading

Kind of an odd question…

I own two Xbox Ones, two Halo 5s, and two separate Xbox Live accounts.

The thing is that one of the Halo 5s is from a game disc and the other is digital.

As you know… the digital version has a much bigger GB memory usage than the disc and also takes longer.

Right now my disc is loaded on one console and I’m currently downloading the digital onto the other console.

So my question is…

Can I put the Halo 5 disc in the other console to make it load onto the console quicker? Or do you have to do the digital download completely on its own in order for it to work?

p.s. The main goal to so that two separate people can game together on separate consoles but was searching for a way to get the Halo 5 quicker on the console that has the digital account

Why is the digital version larger than the disc-based version? I own Halo 5 on disc, yet when Halo 5 was free to play for roughly a week, I didn’t have to use the disc for that period of time.

No don’t put the disc in. It may load as a disc version then you will need the disc to play it.

I had the digital version on my first xbox. When i bought my second xbox, i also bought a copy of the game. I do not have to use the disc on either xbox

Appreciate the replies… I’ll most likely wait this one out and let the digital do its thing

If anyone else has suggestions or tips let me know.

I figured there was nothing other than waiting but I figured I’d see if there was something I didn’t know.

Again… I appreciate the feedback

Digital is fully updated, whereas Disc based isn’t.

I didn’t use the disc during the free period and honestly found that the game ran worse, especially the UI
