Well, it depends on the spartan or elite rank, experience, and training for example youre not gonna compare an elite minor to the master chief but youre right if they acted like in the lore in the games we would be screwed as players.

Been reading the lore and learning from it for the past decade or so. Most thing I enjoyed the most and far immersive was the Forerunner Trilogy books. Greg Baer did a hell of a job tying those stories together and they still have storylines that are still puzzling even in today’s lore.

When the Didact was ‘touched’ by the Gravemind in the third book, he called it a Maladiction or a ‘deep burning brand’. Hidden genetic instructions for him to act and think a totally different way. The Gravemind and Mendicant Bias knew there was some type of plan, a ‘sick and twisted game’ that will unravel into today’s lore. I believe we are far from done with the UrDidact, he will come back someway or another to test humanity again, doing the bidding of the Gravemind.
Also, I believe Master Chief also does have a Geas, but it isn’t who we think it is. It’s said in the Forerunner Trilogy that Geas are genetic imprints that are passed down in human cells within the genetic line of humanity. I’d be willing to bet it will be revealed that Master Chief is Forthencho and Dr. Halsey will be revealed having Yuprin Yukushma(I could’ve butchered her last name) the two ancient humans that were originally to hold the Mantle.

I have a bunch of theories about the franchise but it would take me forever to type them all out. Thanks for reading

all things from Halo? It seems kind of a wide category for a one simple topic.

the guy with forthencho is still alive,

but honestly my least favourite halo book is hunters in the dark, just feels like it relies to much on halo 3 nostalgia.

I will checkout that forerunner books but it makes me glad to see a halo “historian” as to put it like me who enjoys the lore and intricate stories of Halo which expand so much deeper than the games but back to your artcicle maybe a type of flood promethean could arise seeing as the ur-didact and a gravemaind are working toghether the possibilities are truly incredible.
