I was banned in November of 2020 when a moderator misunderstood my username at the time as something offensive and didn’t explain to me what the problem was, then when I realized what it was and said that I was going to change it immediately, I got banned and blocked by the moderator.
The name contains a combination of letters that does trigger Waypoint’s incredibly strict censoring so I can’t say it here, but it was never my intention to make it sound like what he thought I meant.

Hello, I was banned from the Halo discord sometime I think a year or so ago for inappropriate profile picture. It was a doge pfp but with the body of Stalin from WWII. I was informed this is a huge no-no as are many political profile pictures. I have deleted that photo and now use a photo/gif that is more appropriate. I have appealed before but was told to wait at least a year before appealing again so I am here now.
To add context, I love playing BTB and the discord is a great place to meet new people and create fireteams for Halo: Infinite lobbies. This is a major reason I would like my ban to be reconsidered, and I hope I can continue to add to this community in a positive way.

Your version of events for ban: Honestly unsure. I do not remember being in the actual server, however if I was, then I was in the discord server a few years ago, probably around the Halo 5 days. I have no idea what would have led to me getting banned. I was not told, nor do I have any messages saying I was banned, I just simply cannot join. If I did do something, I will not deny my actions, and I accept I have done them. However, I have changed since a few years ago, and just want to get into giveaways, and such, as well as read up on news, and connect with others within the community, and continue to help build Halo, which I love so much.

On 05/03/2022 I received a warning #1 “Reason: bypassing the profanity filter”
I used “***” to blank out a swear word. I didn’t realize that it was considered bypassing the profanity filter. I thought that if I redacted/masked a word that it be okay.
On 07/16/2022 I received a warning #1 “NOTE: Your message has been deleted for containing prohibited text.”
I genuinely forgot that the 3 letter “a” word is considered a swear. Specifically, I used the idiom/phrase “pain in the ___.”
On 09/10/2022 I was banned. “You have been banned from Halo for Inappropriate comments towards 343 staff .”
I don’t remember the exact words I said, but it was not good. At the time, I thought it would be okay as long as I was not referring to any one specific person, but rather to a “generalized role.” I strongly regret what I said, especially now that I am banned from the official Halo Discord. Halo has been my favorite franchise ever since it released in 2001.
I am strongly passionate for improving quality, especially for things that I love. I realize that I went way too far with my comment, and I will never make that mistake again. I will treat the discord server like I would at any other public space or work area - with respect, and maturity.
I just want to be part of the community again.

hi, I was hacked around the 10/01/2023 and subsequentially links where posted in the chat that I myself didn’t post, after appealing my ban through the discord chat bot.
I was told by the moderator overseeing my account, I had to make another account, at that point in time I was not happy about being banned and didn’t want to loose my long standing discord account.
Over the next day I dwelled on the situation, and I ended up making a 2nd account then delete the older account that is linked to this post, I can provide the discord tag and user id for the new account, as after being told that i could return with a new account. I’m Ip banned from the server, thus not allowed to join with a new account. - Additional info
