Halo Digital Project (Ridley Scott)

Moderators, I apologies for the location of this thread as I was unsure where to put it?

Anyway… by now most, if not all, have heard about the confirmed Ridley Scott Halo digital project, which is separate from Steven Spielbergs and Niell Blomkamp Television Series… It has described it as being in the Halo Universe… yet it wouldn’t feature the Master Chief. It stated it would be set in the 26th century rather than the present 25th century (2558)… so who could be the mysterious super-soldier that is in the 26th century… my guess is perhaps Gabriel Throne. 343 Industries may want to put some more light on his character, beyond Spartan Op and Halo: Escalation… this way seeing how the fans react to the potential successor of the Master Chief.

What do you think?

26th century is the 2500’s. Hence why we refer to the 1900’s as, the 20th century.

Oh you are correct… I forget about that… cheers! Then perhaps it could be any Spartan… most probably a main one… perhaps Fred, Kelly and Linda… as they are having a more in-game and visual representation, rather than just the books.

I’m thinking future Halo stories are trending towards teams rather than individuals. Perhaps a show featuring Blue Team or Kilo-5? Or maybe Majestic?

Either that or entirely new characters and situations.

Edit: It occurs to me that Noble 6 had a backstory. Hmmm…

I am just excited that they have Ridley Scott. Can’t go too wrong with the guy who directed Alien, Prometheus, Gladiator, Thelma & Louise, Robin Hood (with Russel Crowe, not Kevin Costner), the list goes on and on, with the most important being Bladerunner. Not the least of which his many producing accomplishments with American Gangster and Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, by far the best Jesse James movie of all time. Also having Sergio Mimica-Gezzan, someone who directed a number of Battlestar Galatica, is definitely another coup for this project.

All in all whoever the Spartan is that the story is based on I think having these two gentlemen involved will make for one excellent addition to the Halo Universe. That being said, I would love to see Kelly or Linda being the main focus. I think it would be a dynamic perspective to tell a story from. Kelly with her speed, and/or Linda with her Sniper. Sounds good to me anyway.

Or Frederich with his combat knives… and tactical intellect.

Hearing that it will be directed by Ridley Scott just made me 250% more excited for this thing.

This would also help to get the audience familiar with Blue Team and would make sure that people aren’t scratching their heads in confusion when they see three Spartan II’s after being taught their whole lives that the Master Chief was the last of his kind.

Probably something about Harvest. That would make me happy, but with 343i watching over it, I doubt it. Hope to be wrong, though. It’s Ridley Scott we’re talking about after all.
