Like I said before. You compared Infinite to AC, and by that comparison you mentioned AC has more content than Infinite in a shorter dev time.
Every AC game has like 150 side missions, but really theres only 5 side missions spread out across 150 points on the map. 100’s of meaningless collectibles.
The AC games have no structure. They have generic predictible stories. Bland, empty open worlds. Buggy physics and gameplay. Oh and monetization in the single player so you can level up and progress through the story.
That’s why I said 5-6 years.
Also, planning actually started a month before Halo 5 released according to another article I read.
Oh, okay.
Yeah, AC is the worst series to compare when talking about content.
Those games are very padded.
A better one would be The Elder Scrolls and Fallout.
New Vegas and Skyrim’s development started after Fallout 3, so it took about 2 and 3 years, yet both games are packed with good content.
The open worlds in those games are wasted, since there isn’t any worthwhile content on them.
This I wouldn’t agree with.
Infinite has a good foundation.
AC does as well actually.
However, the content in both is very lacking.
Okay guys yall need to revisit odyssey and valhalla. Those two are great RPGs. There’s tons of stuff to find and unlock, you know, unique weapons, armors, stuff that isn’t in halo. Secret bosses. Secret puzzle dungeons- Like there’s a ridiculous amount of stuff to do. Just tell me you haven’t played the game without telling me lol.
I’ve played both and know what has more content.
Exactly. It still doesn’t make sense to me to compare Infinite to FNV or Skyrim (different games) but those games had a 3 year development with so much more content. FNV and Skyrim probably have more content than the last 3 Halo games and last 3 AC games combined
Don’t even say that.
I only played Odyssey of those two, but I couldn’t wait to finish it.
The story was awful at the end, and it was not a great role-playing game at all.
I liked the bosses and some of the equipment, but there wasn’t that much worthwhile to do in the game.
It didn’t help that the ways to travel were slow as molasses either.
Maybe it had slightly more than Infinite, but that’s all.
It is if they want people to continue buying things.
The people buying things in this game are probably not going to be here for the next decade.
Not only that, but they might even wise up to the fact that they’re severely overpaying at some point.
We haven’t been underpaying, or every studio that’s solely interested in money would have closed, and the type of people that don’t care about video games yet publish and develop them anyway would be elsewhere.
Odyssey, aight, I’ll give you that, but valhalla is a freakin’ sick game. Reminds me of the witcher if the combat was honed a lot. If you’re ever in a drought of games and valhalla is on sale? I’d say give it a go, might surprise you! Now, story wise, I don’t pay attention to the over arching real world plot so- I just take it at face value. I didn’t have anything to play and so I gave it a shot, (under 2 hours you can refund on PC) and it hooked me for a good 3 months. Was also watching the show vikings so. Maybe had a viking hype thing going on haha
