Bro where is the disconnect. How do you respond to my comment with that. I’m not asking for free stuff. I’m asking for a shop rework. For an event rework. For a customization rework.
Responding to your thread in general and people like you in general. Your thread doesn’t imply you want any kind of rework. Your thread implies that you’re upset that all of the Tenrai event stuff isn’t 100% free. This isn’t Pokemon, you don’t need to catch them all. Earn/buy what you actually want and will use. You and I both know you don’t need all 40 shades of yellow, brown, red, and gray.
Oh my bad, it’s a $20 pink trail and 4 of the same emblem.
My thread implies there’s some scumbaggery going on here and it should stop.
How come no one corrected me when I thought it was $11?
Also, we had the whole color palette in past games, they remove it in favor of selling you colors PER CORE and you clap.
We are going backwards. If you can’t see that then fine, open your wallet ‘if you want to’.
Considering the fire movement effect is the last thing earned in the Battle Pass, I assume it’s valued at skipping a whole 100 level Battle Pass for the one effect item. Idk. Either way, if you thought 343 was gonna sell a level 100 value effect for $1, you’re sorely mistaken.
I don’t… WHY NOT MAKE IT THE FINAL REWARD OF THE TENRAI PASS INSTEAD OF CHARGING $20 FOR IT?
HELLO?
DEDICATED TO FINISHING OUT THAT PASS? COOL HERES YOUR COOL REWARD FOR STICKING WITH US FOR A FEW MONTHS.
Not $20.
Maybe if the game was just $60 we wouldn’t be having these issues. In my mind 3 armor sets do not equate to the price of a full campaign.
Or 3 snail trails.
Or 3 any cosmetic.
The game will never be $60. They plan on porting everything from past titles over the next 10 years, and creating completely new content along the way. It should be $600, after every DLC expansion and Battle Pass.
No, you’re wrong. With the snail trails it should be $1800.
Wait a second. Lets bring Apex legends into the mix. They’re doing fine. They have loot boxes.
Loot boxes didn’t make enough money in their calculations I bet, so they went with what we have now.
You should be basing it on Destiny 1 and 2, except 343 will never be remotely close to the devs Bungie are, with all the content, events, and cosmetics
Do you feel any shame whatsoever for spitting out this very tired talking point?
Wanting a decent collection of cosmetics that can be earned through gameplay is not a big ask. Yet I see the 343 defense force spitting out this nonsense strawman argument on a daily basis. No one asked for everything for free. Lots have people have asked for all (or most) cosmetics to be available with purchase of the campaign, lots of people have asked for the store to charge less and/or stop bundling stuff together as an excuse to jack up the price. Lots of people have asked for them to stop double dipping by restricting coatings and visors to a single core. Lots of people complained about the game being F2P because it encourages the nickel and diming we’ve been seeing.
NO ONE said “We should just get everything completely free”, but that’s how YOU put it.
You will have more free content than you had in Halo Reach in 10 years. If they gave you everything for free right now at the beginning of the game in the first couple months, you would have literally no reason to care about trying to unlock anything else for 10 years and you’d burn out. You will be IV dripped new content as slowly as possible over the next 10 years, but you will get a surplus of free content.
Base the content on MCC 2014 to 2022 minus the fact that MCC is a collection of already finished games. It’ll get better over time, because they want to add everything from past titles like MCC. MCC is also almost 10 years old now.
It’s only a little over 7 years old, actually. And when it launched, it was massively broken, and had less customization than the original releases.
MCC’s history is an embarrassment, not a reason to feel hopeful.
And even if you DID have a point, by your logic, everyone should start abandoning Infinite in the hopes that it gets fixed and is worth playing at some point in 5 years or so.
Basically, yes. Everyone that can’t tolerate the wait for it to improve. It’s buggy, the prices suck, and it’s severely lacking in content, so I only play once a week sometimes, but it’ll eventually get Forge, and I won’t care about the dumpster multiplayer and cosmetics anymore, since we will have custom modes and maps making 20x the content 343 did. I know people will immediately start making BTB Bungie maps with vehicles and tanks at base, and I will never play normal BTB matchmaking ever again.
If I’m being completely honest, I don’t have faith in 343 to fix the game in a way that will make everyone happy, but I do have faith that modders and Forge mapmakers will make the game better than 343 themselves ever could. Does that solve the shop and cosmetics problems? No. But unless you are addicted to impulse buying and owning everything, nobody should. I’m pretty satisfied enough with wearing what I have now, and I don’t really plan on changing my Spartan unless they add a Mark VI core that covers Halo 3, 4, 5, Online, and MCC armors. Unless they add a white and purple coating, I’ll never care what they add, because every Halo I was just white and purple. I don’t need or want to own 99% of what is in the game.
