yeah there a lot of things that Halo 5 do wrong, but now, they are forgetting things that are good , my point is, the people prefers complain about the bad things that highlight the good things . Someone writes , the removal of the sprint will make Halo great again and gets more than 8000 answers supporting him, but someone else writes about the future of Halo on Xbox One and the high quality of forge and only get less than 50 answers from people that immediately start to complain with something unrelated to the topic.
what do you think?
People get more passionate about things that they want changed, thus those threads get MUCH more support.
I know I’ve been giving halo 5 a fair amount of crap, but I want to see the game improve and become something I (and meny others) feel comfortable with.
Halo 5 does have some awesome things, but unfortunately the good can get overshadowed by the bad.
Well if we just look at the positive things and nothing else we are enabling 343 to make crappy games. If we keep telling them “hey i dont like this” or “hey this sucks and shouldn’t be in halo” they then can listen and make a better game… but they instead choose to Ignore us.
The thing is, certain topics, and the way said topics are worded tend to attract people differently. For example:
If I’m going to write a 1000 word rant restating the same thing people have said several times before, only with more excessive capital letters and less constructiveness, I think people are going to react a little more explosively.
If I were to write about the same topic, only this time, I’m analyzing each component thoroughly, and explaining clearly why I think it’s bad, people likely won’t get as triggered because it isn’t as easy to react to in a stupidly angry manner.

There is a difference between blinding hating and constructive criticism (a bunch of people blindly hate).
There is also a difference between not doing everything a individual/some people ask for and not listening at all.
You are really beating the dead horse when it comes to sprint.

Well no it’s not the sprint part I link that for. And if there’s any horse I’m beating it’s one that really deserves The biggest Of beatings.
Waypoint’s format is not really conducive to meaningful discussion, controversial topics stay visible. Two people arguing with each other will be on the front page for days. Two people agreeing with each other will last about 30 minutes on the front page.

This is poetic
Forums in general, attract those with gripes.
You frankly have no conception of how the “haters” have been continuously disappointed and how 343 has blown the numerous chances given to them.
Its not just Halo 5 its this point, its the combination of Halo 4, MCC, and Halo 5 which have left people like me disappointed at almost every turn. Halo 5’s good points, which for me consist of the forge team and nothing else, don’t outweigh the years worth of bad points.
I have given 343 so many chances its just silly at this point and minor improvements(which are only improvements relative to 343 games) and half measures don’t make up for the years of failure.
Do any of you ever stop to the consider why things might turn out this way? That there might be a reason that people have been unhappy, regardless of your own feelings? That whether or not you feel the level of complaints are justified doesn’t matter?
Understand what you’re saying OP, but topics like these only end up doing the exact opposite of what you want to achieve. They push other important topics out of the way, so instead of finding good discussion we have have people complaining about other people complaining. Focus on bringing the best topics to light and keeping discussion constructive is good route to follow
