There should not be in game real money micros transaction stores in halo or any game at all ever.
It should not exist. So as long as it exists it’s fair to trash it.

So… you want games to be priced at around $200 at launch then?
Because without Microtransactions, multiplayer games from big studios would become $200 at launch or more.
It is honestly amazing that the base price for a new videogame has stayed at $60 for the past thirty years.

Yeah and when you purchased DLC for map packs in Halo 2, Halo 3, Reach, or 4 it was also bug free.

My point is that 343i spend very very little time at all on the store, if you want to trash an area of the game they spent far too much time on the Campaign is likely #1.
It’s truly disheartening to hear that people are still questioning the prices our corporate overlords graciously lowered for us. For shame, Halo fans. For shame…

If this was true f2p game there might not be as many complaints, but it’s not.
So for 343 is attempting to treat it like one so they deserve the negative feedback, especially since they haven’t offered deadly squat when it comes to content.
Go look at how much content true f2p games have vs infinite, and let that reality set in for a bit.
It is prime time and halo infinite has 11k viewers on twitch right now. No one cares about this game anymore. I had hope but they could not fix BTB in time. They did the same thing with MCC. The devs don’t care they get paid either way. 343i keeps killing halo.
Snipe is talking about it right now. They could have launched with forge and a battle royal. If they couldn’t fund the project when they are basically Microsoft game studios then they shouldn’t have released the game and just let halo die with master chief collection.

Yes I do actually. I would gladly pay 200 for the fully fleshed out game with no micros.
When there are quite a few things to fix, obviously once they fix something we will jump to the next problem. I appreciate their quick reactions to the problems, but if we dont stay on them, they could become like other devs who just shovel trash into our throats.
Hey, at least MCC is the game they’ve put the most effort into perfecting. I never thought I’d be able to say that.
People just need to understand that the shop is luxury items. It literally exists for people to show off how much money they have, that’s it. No different than designer clothing, exotic cars, etc. No one needs that stuff, but it’s a status thing.
If you don’t like the prices, just stick to the BP. You get more bang for your buck there.

Viewership numbers aren’t necessarily representative of a game’s overall success. That being said Infinite is extremely Esports/competitive carried in terms of viewership. The NA pro series stream (the one on the Halo main channel) gets like 20-25k by itself, EU pro series/ANZ don’t get anywhere close but they still get decent numbers especially EU. So Infinite on Thursdays gets like 30k easily, not to mention the rebroadcast stuff (where people watch it over the course of the weekend or whenever they have time) that get tons of views.
I don’t even want to bring up Raleigh because those numbers could’ve been a once in a lifetime sort of thing lol.
Now to your point this is bad for the casual observer, as it means that there is very little interest in Halo outside of competitive crowd.
Favyn (Youtuber, I recommend them) also touched on this a bit. Infinite in terms of wasted potential, is almost impossible to quantify. That being said lets not ignore the fact that Halo 4/5 were also huge and massive disappointments so its sort following a trend lol.
Could you imagine how massive/successful Infinite would’ve been if it came out with just a tiny bit more content? Firefight, Battle Royale, Warzone, Forge, Co-op, (Good) custom games, etc. Infinite could’ve basically eclipsed Fortnite and became the #1 game on the market for months maybe years, but because 343i devs are like 25% as efficient as Bungie were they lost out on unfathomable sums of cash and publicity.

Well said Bluejay I am just tired of halo dying. We probably won’t be able to discuss anything of relevance in the next month or so. I remember the last year of halo 2 and the last couple of halo 3. I don’t care anymore.

I personally don’t care about the store because I would never purchase anything from it. I just play for the gameplay, I can stick with the default skin colors and spartan armor if they didn’t make anything earnable in-game. The problem I have is all the gameplay issues preventing me from enjoying the game fully and lack of updates.
I would have gladly paid for the multiplayer instead of it being free to play if it had more gameplay content. The cosmetics are just filler content until they come out with actual updates.

I have not forgotten Halo 4 or 5 at launch unlike most people, but in a few years if what Infinite is now is just swept under the rug and its considered the best Halo lol then I am far more optimistic about Infinite.
It can only go up from here boys
