Sorry if I Offend anyone but I gotta feeling halo 5 will blow i look on these forums and most of the ideas just seem to fit for more casual gameplay halo BECOME halo because of its competitiveness i see these stupid ideas people post and really hope 343 dosent see them and pick them up it seems like players myself real halo vets that understand halo are low this is why I feel they will go after casual players again people will say oh but there’s competitive ranks, and this and that, like I said I could be wrong Just saying every year since halo 2 the game only gets worse and worse this is why I’m omptimistic people will see move we need evolution an this and that NO WE NEED THE HALO CORE back amazing maps no stupid sprint no load outs ranks, LIKE I SAID I’m optimistic this game has only gone down hill the past ten years why would it change now?
There are these small little punctuation marks called periods. They do wonders for separating sentences. I highly recommend you use them in the future.
Also, Halo has always been a game where casual and competitive players can coexist. Both sides’ opinions matter equally.
1- No real solid info on its gameplay, besides the announcement of the Halo 5 beta and what its focus is, has been announced. Besides a CG teaser trailer that doesn’t fully represent the game, we know nothing.
2- Fix your keyboard or get a new one. Show everyone you learned something in 3rd grade.
3- 343 was in full charge for one game. If we were to blow off any game that was not so great, we wouldn’t have games like Assassin’s Creed.
We’ll know what is in store 3 months from now. Until then, it is pointless to say Halo 5 will be awesome or if it will fail, or if its community is dead.
literally every official forum has dumb ideas on it. do you seriously think that proves anything?
I don’t know if you’ll like H5, but the stars have alligned in such a way that shooters basically need to go back to focusing on the competitive esports aspect if they want to survive. it’s been a long time that shooters have coasted on a wave of popularity, but it’s going to be harder and harder to keep people’s interest in a genre that’s dominated games for so long now.
so, they need to rely on the hardcore fanbase, the ones who don’t get bored of games the like and get their friends into the games they love. The ones who want games to feel fair, who want a level playing field.
And a lot of the stuff they’ve talked about sounds similar to what you seem to want.
Quinn from 343 specifically said that people wanting to prepare for the Halo 5 beta should be playing Halo 1.
If you want reasons to believe that things can change, how about you try calming down and paying attention to what’s going on in video games, rather than just ranting online? Just don’t get uber hyped and don’t get uber depressed. just see what happens, and if it’s not your jam, just move on and ignore it.

Yes I agree competitive and casual player can both exist. The thing is they had zero attention to go after competitive players i mean even bungie screwed us over with reach and then this thing called HALO4 or whatever that thing is. Anyways people are going to say but there going to have ranks so there going after competitive players, no I’m smarter then that for example even if halo 4 had had ranks which by the way 343 completely ignored us btw, anyways of it did it still would’ve suck why? Because not only the halo core is missing another that is missing is the amazing maps from halo 2 look at the maps on halo 4 DISSGUSTING I dont understand why you fans are so omptimistic about this halo 5

We have no idea halo 5 will succeed or fail? It’s obvious it’s gonna fail i see what 343s intentions are and there not pretty for us halo vets i could be wrong but didn’t halo 4 make the most money ? So why would they leave what there doing remember its a video game but its really just a business remmeber that
Cool. I do agree that Halo needs to go back to the core and become more competitive again but we simply can’t have a Halo 2 remake every year with new graphics.

Made the most money, but had the lowest player retention, and interest, out of all of the online Halo games. As well as the constant complaints flooding in on a daily basis, 343 knows that if they are continuing that route, there will not be a saga of games, which means a shorter supply in money. If they are money-driven, then they know that if they choose to satisfy 30,000 people instead of hundreds of thousands, they lose money in the long run.
Seeing that Armor Abilities are removed for a much more balanced feature, arena focused equal starts beta (That includes 7 maps meant specific for 4v4 Halo arena combat) being available rather early to get game balance better than Halo 4 is a big sign that they want to take competitive multiplayer better treatment than they did in Halo 4.
Again, too early to call doom and gloom. Also too early to call best Halo game ever. Wait 3 months and find out then.
I know I’m in the minority but I’m optimistic for Halo 5 because of Halo 4. I know people have issues with the MP part but I didn’t particularly, I enjoyed playing it. I know some of the features are being removed, I’ll have to wait for the Beta to see how I get on with it, but I loved the Halo 4 campaign, it’s why I play Halo and why I can’t wait to see what 343 have got in store for Halo 5

That’s funny. I actually sarcastically suggested a while back that 343 should just rerelease H2A with new maps every year, since 99% of the Halo community whines and cries if new games aren’t perfect H2 clones. New ranking/gameplay/features/weapons that weren’t in Halo 2? HERESY!!!
Seriously, though, OP, threads like this will probably just deteriorate into flaming wars and be locked. Creating a thread just to tell the community how dumb it is doesn’t help anyone.

Making Halo 2 every year would mean Halo wouldn’t change at all . . . just like another video game series that everyone knows about.

And that’s exactly what all the competitive players want.

Halo: CE came out and the community thrived.
Halo 2 added and changed some things and the community thrived even more.
Halo 3 added and changed some things and the community thrived even more.
Clearly, “additions and changes” in themselves aren’t killing Halo. It must be something else. Perhaps it’s the nature of the changes?
