if you still haven’t noticed, Microsoft announced windows 10 and it seems like you can play your games on windows 10 and xbox.
in this video you can see that their building Fable Legends for both Xbox one and windows 10.
does this mean that halo 5 is also going to be on windows?
i don’t like halo 5 as much as the older halos but i don’t think Halo should EVER be on anything else other than Xbox.
so what are your thoughts on this.
XB1 games will be playable over a house’s LAN using W10.x devices. XB1 games suddenly appearing for W10.x PC’s will not. FH2 was demoed on a PC, streamed from an XB1.
As Reaper said, it’s nothing more than a service that allows you to stream video from your Xbox One to a PC, and control inputs from PC to the Xbox. You still need an Xbox and you won’t be getting any benefits from streaming it to PC. All you get for it more lag.

Any rational reason for that or is it just one of those entitled “other people don’t deserve my fun” type of opinions? Frankly, there is no rational reason from a consumer point of view to not want Halo on other platforms, and as a community we should do our best to fight for Halo as a multiplatform title, so that as many people as possible could enjoy what we’ve had for years.

if halo becomes a multiplatform title, it would lose it’s specialty, i play halo mostly because of that, for ex CoD, the devs know that it’s gonna sell a lot even if it’s not a good game because there are like idk 6 platforms, but with halo, because there is only one platform to sell the game on, they will put more work and energy into it.
p.s: they are building fable for xbox one and windows 10, idk if you consider that streaming, they even said the multiplayer is connected between both . see this Fable Legends played across Xbox One and Windows 10 - YouTube

That’s absolutely ridiculous. Call of Duty is what it is because that’s what the players want, not because the developers are lazy. Whether a game is multiplatform or not has zero causal relation to the quality of the game.

Sorry, I didn’t know about the Fable announcement. It’s definitely getting an actual PC release. But I had only read about their streaming service that allows Xbox One games to be streamed to PC, so I didn’t know about the Fable announcement.

It’s just Streaming from the Xbox One, it’s not really playing in the Pc’s natural environment. I don’t like Halo 5 either much but it’s better to think of it was a way to play Halo 1/2/3 on the PC in a way due to MCC.

Not in Halo. M&K lacks aim assist, giving controller users a slight edge.

I’m just going to quote my response from a similar thread:
As good as that sounds, it’s not likely to happen. Microsoft has essentially fooled most of the tech and gaming world into believing that they’ve ushered in a new era of PC gaming, when in fact they haven’t. What they’ve done with DirectX 12 is impressive, but their new Xbox/PC relationship hasn’t done anything to capitalize on that. Their message to PC gamers, the support and newfound interest in Windows gaming they promised and hyped, their new PC/Xbox initiative boils down to “Your Windows PC is an ideal… Second screen for your Xbox One. Buy an Xbox One to play the best games on your PC.”
This new streaming feature is a shameless bid to pander to the Xbox One while maintaining the illusion of supporting PC games. Publications like IGN and Gamespot are throwing around headlines like “Windows 10 plays Xbox One games”, which would seem to imply PCs with Windows 10 can run and install formerly Xbox-restricted titles. Instead, we learn you can’t play games like Halo on your Windows PC without buying an Xbox One and keeping it in your home. It’s a convenient for X1 users, to be sure, but what about PC users? DX12 and cross-platform multiplayer capability don’t matter if Microsoft is still hogging its top first-party titles for Xbox One! It’ll take more than Fable Legends and Minecraft to convince me Microsoft cares about PC. What they showcased yesterday only benefits Xbox One users. Not PC. Not Windows. Just, as always, Xbox One. Buy an Xbox One. Now. Give us your money.

But you’re just streaming. You’'re basically playing the game on your Xbox and watching the it on your PC. The game still plays the same.

Exactly, and I’m pretty sure you need an Xbox controller even when streaming. They don’t include M&K coding in Xbox games.

did you read the fable part that i wrote? they are building Fable for both xbox and pc so no streaming, actual game on pc with keyboard and mouse, so it would feel like other exclusives would make their way to pc for more profit.

This only applies to Fable. We’re talking about streaming Halo (or other Xbox game) to PC.
The entire windows 10 reveal said that microsoft is not just streaming your xbox to your pc but also cross platforming between it’s games. In the fable legends demo one is playing from their xbox and the other via a desktop PC. In other words people on windows 10 will be able to play future titles pc and xbox games together via the xbox service included in windows 10, another reveal in that demo was microsoft’s hololense technology… kinda like augmented reality meets oculus rift… just not as immersive since the display is kinda see through… all that being said I hope many xbox titles allow the crossplatforming feature as it would merge alot of players toghether in the online arena … though those xbox players will definitely need their aim assist to compete well against mouse and keyboard. I hope that halo 5 will be one of those titles … i would also be looking forward to a halo wars II if 343 ever get to making it
i dont play halo but it will be dumb for a company not to release their software on all the platforms that they own and for the people that are saying it would be bad for xbox, how? because the same people that got a xbox is going to get it for xbox any way and the people that play on pc will buy it so that just more sells and players , so what’s wrong with that

Lol Halo will never be a multiplatform title as long as Microsoft owns it. Besides, being exclusive to one platform is actually great for consumers. It allows the developers to focus all their time and energy into optimizing the game for that one platform, so that the game can look and play even better than if it were on multiple platforms.
