Halo Comic Books

Hello Halo Community,

I was just wondering if anyone had any advice on any cool past or pressnt halo comics to start reading. I am just getting interested in the other lore that halo has to offer outside of the games themselves and was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction of anything that would be worth the read

Thanks!

  • Halo: Escalation is a series currently running and is set after Spartan Ops- Halo: Initiation deals with Sarah Palmer becoming a Spartan in the years prior to Halo 4.- Halo: Helljumper deals with Romeo and Dutch from Halo 3: ODST.- Halo: Blood Line follows Spartan Team Black on a dangerous Forerunner installation.- Halo Graphic Novel is an anthology comic series of various stories in different styles. All are fairly good, but Initiation was the weakest in my opinion.

I’d recommend you take a look at Halo: Escalation.

There is also The Fall of Reach comics. They are quite good though they deviate a little from existing lore the closer to the end it gets.

Halo Wars: Genesis is also a good read if you can find it. As for books, I’d recommend Fall of Reach(obviously lol), First Strike, Ghost of Onyx as well as The Forerunner Saga by Greg Bear and finally Broken Circle is really cool. If you want to know more about the Marines perspective you can read The Flood, but you won’t really learn anything new. And the Kilo-Five trilogy which I don’t personally recommend but it adds to the overall lore. Just adding to DeceptionCobra’s great list.
