halo classic

perks, armor ability, and armor are all user chosable, with exception to firepower.

only weapons selectable are magnum/boltshot, and ar/stormrifle/suppressor

dmr/lightrifle/br, and carbines are laid around the map, depending on map flavor(foruner maps would have light rifles, while very unsc flavore3d maps would have br/dmr, and carbine can be on any map) dmr would be considered a limited weapon, and no more then 4 would spawn on the map, (to prevent a team of 8 getting them all and just spawn camping the apposing team)

respawn timer will be set to 5 seconds.

killcams will be left on

no personal ordinances, however, power weapons will spawn via map ordinances. however these will be to preset spots, on a preset timer, possibly alternating locations to prevent “one hill to rule them all” where the power weapon spawn happens to be the best location as well(aka valhala hill)

plasma pistol, and plasma grenades will not be selectable as loadout weapon, a over abundence of these has helped destroy vehicle combat. they will however be on the map, in “past halo” predictable locations and quantities.

vehicle damage from non explosive will need to be tuned down, significantly, nothing less a heavy machine gun, or a rain of saw fire should be able to destroy mantis/warthog, these are armored vehicles, and in case of the hog, the occupents are exposed.

maps will have spawn weighted equally down the middle, one half of the map will be blue, the other red, this will prevent players from spawn switching.

join in progress will be enabled, but new players will not join any game that is about to end within 4 minutes, nor will they join any game where one team has more then double the score of the apposing game (when score is past 25% of required to win score) so in game of btb where the score is 80 to 20, no new players will join the game due to team 1 having more then 4 times the score of team two, and only needed 20 more kills to win, however players may still join when the score is say 1-10, because this is a attainable gap that can be overcome.

classic objective gametypes will reuse past halo gametypes, such as assault, and one flag, but will utilize new halo 4 objective mechanics such as ball tossing, and sidearm flag holding.

reasonings

automatic starts - automatic weapon start is to put everyone on somewhat level field, and to encourage player to go and pick up the dmr, instead of re spawning with it, automatics are not h2 smg starts, the new automatics now have great mid distance damage potential.

sidearm choice, the magnum has the ability to outdistance the automatic weapons, meanwhile the boltshot allows close up superiority, this would allow players to be able to choise a sidearm that is better then the automatic at certain distances but would still encourage players to pick up weapons across the map, again, encouraging the go and get it mood for weapon upgrades, which h was founded on.

no plasma pistol, the plasma pistol ability to lock down all vehicles, including the gunner positions of tanks makes it a truly terrifing weapon and any big map playlist, this has got to be limited, using it as a map sidearm weapon seemed the appropriate choice.

no plasma grenade- this goes in tune with the above, plasma as a loadout weapon encourages suicide sticking, and the sheer damage potential against vehicles is well…silly two plasma can destroy tanks, these also need to be limited to encourage more variety to gameplay, including vehicle play.

halo 4 element retention, loadout perks, killl cams and objective stuff, the reason i choose to let these remain, is because h4 should be a evolution, no one wants cod with sheilds, but no one wants halo 4 with new graphics (ok some of us do, but make that h2 anniversary, not h4) there has to be some changes made for a sequal, its the way of life, i think that 343 merely went a little overboard with it, so i prefer to tone it back.
