Our Mission:
> We strive to gather a group of close knit friends who want to get the best out of our experiences with Halo 5 together. We will complete our campaign goals, go into matchmaking, hunt for achievements, and best of all, host custom games together. We will relive the glory days we had with Halo 3 through this clan.
6 years ago, Halo 3 was in it’s prime and bungie.net was the center of communication for all things Halo. We made groups in which thousands of members joined. I was 13 years old and would look forward to the time after school when I could get on Halo 3 with my online clan buddies to play the game we loved. Halo 3 had such a wonderful life span. That is because of the community that surrounded it. One of the biggest contributors to that lifespan was definitely the group function that bungie hosted, and still hosts on their website. The goal of this group is to regain that feeling of brotherhood we had in our old groups.
Over time, the old groups became inactive. By the time Halo 4 was released, most of our old groups were extinct. We all grew up, got jobs, family, or went off to college. In the mean time, bungie gave up Halo, and Halo lost it’s roots as an arena shooter game. An arena shooter is a game in which all players have equal weapons and ability starts at the beginning of a match, and maps have weapon spawns on the map. Halo 4 took these basic needs for a true halo game away and replaced it with loadouts, and weapon drops. The new central website for Halo games also does not contain group functions and many other functions that we took for granted with Halo 3 and bungie. This destroyed the lifespan of Halo 4, and caused many players looking to recapture the days they had with their Halo 3 buddies, to have to wait longer for a true halo release…
And now… We have the true sequel to Halo 3 we have been waiting for! I am extremely happy they are bringing back a true Halo game with Halo 5! They brought back the core arena style matches with equal starts that Halo so desperately needed.
This is why it is time to make this group. It is time to relive those days. We have a modern Halo 2/3 style multiplayer that we can take advantage of. So in conclusion, let’s create an online brotherhood together. Let’s make the most out of this release. We may never have a chance like this again to relive those nostalgic days… together.
