When Halo Infinite deploys this December, are there any plans to update the Halo Channel as well? The app doesn’t seem to run properly anymore on Windows 10, and it would be a shame not to have a hub where people can watch the latest Halo productions again.
That’s what I’ve been thinking. It really doesn’t run well like you said. I hope they do use this app. Maybe adding halowaypoint into the halo channel? Just a suggestion. Viewing your stats for every halo game you play on a mobile device seems handy. Why not do it on an app you’ve already created and needs to be updated?
Honestly I hope they just abandon the app. It sucked and really had no purpose. I especially hate how it exits you out of MCC if you want the terminals or Spartan Ops cinematics.
Yeh doubt they’ll do much with Halo channel. It already seems like it was mostly abandoned by 343i. They should probably scrap it, just make an app like the original Halo Waypoint on the 360. It might even get a bit of news for Infinite when it releases but I doubt most people even use it anymore except for the forced ‘MCC’ video’s that pull us out of game…they literally should just patch the video’s into MCC to make Halo Channel obsolete.
Who said Halo Infinite comes out in December? That rose my eyebrows. And as for the Halo Channel app, it really had potential but it failed to catch my eye. The only times I really used it admittedly was to watch the movie adaption of Halo the Fall of Reach and Halo Nightfall.
I wish 343 would start posting on the Halo Channel again. It was a pretty cool idea and a nice replacement for Halo Waypoint on the 360 and could’ve been the main hub for Halo content for years to come like Waypoint was, but at this point it seems that 343 has completely given up on the Halo Channel. They even took the Halo Channel forum down on here, and that fact that they didn’t even upload either trailer for Halo Infinite on there makes it pretty clear to me that it’s done for good
