Halo Channel Windows 8.1 app does not sign in?

Installed the Halo Channel app to my Surface 3. Every time I try to open it, it gives the following dialog:

"Oops! Sorry something’s not right here…
Please log in at Xbox.com to resolve your account issues before attempting to log in again."

And then there are two options, Launch Xbox.com in snap view or Nevermind.

I cannot see any account issues or even know what they could be. Bought the Game already and would like to enjoy the Windows 8.1 app as well.

Can someone help?

Mine just stays suck on the Halo Channel screen where it would be booting the app up. Can’t get any further than that on my Surface Po 3.

Got it! I had SSL 3 disabled in IE and when enabling it again everything works now ok.

I would be very careful about keeping SSL 3.0 enabled, as there is currently a very large vulverability tied to it.
