So, since it’s popped up we get the Halo Channel on Xbox one when the master chief collection is out. I have wondered. Will all this still be halo waypoint?
As in, will the xbox 360 version still get updates and so, or will it be left in the dust?
And also, how hard will it be to do the Oni Eyes, Challenges and Second Stories on the halo channel too?
What would the encyclopedia include too? Would it do everything or just things relating to the shows and main games?
I realize this may’ve been asked before but am unsure. So why not ask to make sure.
Honestly though I look forward to this. But it just concerns me over what’ll happen to waypoint and the xbox 360 version.

Well, I don’t the answer to most (and I’m not sure if anyone does, maybe it hasn’t been confirmed yet), but I’m certain we’ll still have these forums. As for the digital Waypoint app on your console, I’m sure the Channel will replace that.

I know at the very least for the challenges it’s do with the following:
Halo Encyclopedia
Halo Nightfall Series
Halo Forward Unto Dawn
There are things in those which do challenges. Unlock Second Stories, and there are ONI Eyes which are hidden.
These at the very least unlock things for the Master Chief Collection and Halo 5 beta / full game.
An example seen was the Swarm skull for Master Chief Collection which did: Triple health to hunters and Double damage from them.
Though, I meant would waypoint be renamed, or would there be a channel area added to the site?
Or would it just be an app for the Windows 8.1 people?

As I said, it is known to have the halo encyclopedia. Which is meant to have character bios and weapons and vehicle knowledge. In the trailer for it, it shown off Jameson Locke, and also showed the Warthog, DMR / BR too and has others listed.
Meaning it may indeed be a source for everything halo.
Time will tell though.
I wonder if waypoint wasn’t catchy enough or something. Waypoint on 360 hasn’t been maintained too well recently…

So I had another thought and didn’t want to make a new topic.
But regarding Halo MCC’s LASO challenge playlist. Would it technically require the skulls from the Halo channel or are they optional extras?
Seeing as Swarm is part of the MCC for a skull but seems to be unlocked via the halo channel
