Halo channel problem

Solved

We do care about people having issues, and as part of that, I am trying work with folks to resolve issues, or determine what the problems are… So, let me dive into your issues so we can start to sort out issues and see if we can find some solutions:

First, let’s address the issue of which account the product is registered to… If you have multiple accounts on an Xbox, and redeem a game code, it will generally set the ownership to the first active account. Please ensure that there are not other accounts active when you redeem a code. Are you certain the code redeemed to your account and not another?

If the code is redeemed to your account, and you still can not watch terminal videos or Nightfall, can you provide some feedback to the questions below:
Does any content (The Sprint, The Bulletin, etc) work on Halo Channel for you?
If you try to watch Nightfall or Terminal videos, are they simply blocked by the ‘Buy Halo’ or ‘Buy Nightfall’ message, or can you select Play on them?

  • If you can play them, does it play the ‘bumper’ video that identifies what is up next, then swap to another video or go black?

When you worked through the troubleshooting guide, did you hard reset the Xbox One completely? Could you also reset the modem/router that the Xbox One is connected to? Can you determine if there are any filters or other restrictions that might prevent you from contacting some Microsoft servers? (We have had a report of a customer discovering their modem/router had filters on a specific domain that prevented them from contacting one of our servers)

What locale and language is your Xbox One configured for? (For example someone in Germany would likely have their locale and language as German/German or DE-DE for the technical server side classification)

Thank you for reading my message,
I have gone on every account on my Xbox rebooted the Halo: Channel and when I select Halo Nightfall it tells me i need to buy it for every account except the one I redeemed the code on. So I am certain that the code has been redeemed on my account. Next, I can watch The Sprint, The Bulletin, ect and the bumper plays for these videos. But when I initially used all of the terminals it warped me to the Halo Channel the Halo Channel crashed then brought me back to Halo MCC and it still does that. Trying to watch the terminals or just cinematics in general from the Halo brings up an error message. That brings me to Halo Nightfall. when I try to watch Halo Nightfall, the cinematics, or terminals the bumper screen appears for about a half of a second then displays this message (This is my attempt to recreate the message in text format)

That’s Not Right
Sorry about that. The content you selected can’t be played at this time. Please retry or select
something else from the guide

RETRY VIDEO OPEN GUIDE
Retry video has no results and open guide just opens the guide…
When I first got Halo MCC and attempted to watch Halo Nightfall a random video would play, then it changed to telling me to buy Halo MCC about three weeks later. Now it loads the most it ever had about 2 seconds into the bumper then it crashes setting me into a loop pressing retry over and over again this also applies to the Halo cinematics and terminals. I have tried to launch it from Halo MCC and it makes no difference.

I reset my console time and time again uninstalling and reinstalling Halo Channel and Halo Nightfall in tons of different combinations ultimately wasting a lot of time for no reason. My network has no restrictions from any websites or programs and my xbox has an open nat type my xbox’s language and locale is English/ United States again thank anyone who is to read this and please help me with this issue.

Can you send me a private message with your gamertag, or post here if it is the same as your forum name… I will have to have someone check that the redemption for Nightfall/MCC is set correctly.
