Hi everyone
I recently brought the Master Cheif Collection and I want to be able to watch the nightfall series and the terminal videos. However, when I load up the halo channel it just says “the halo channel is currently unavailable, please check back soon.” Can someone please tell me what to do to be able to fix this.

Are you trying to watch on Xbox One or Windows 8.1?
Do you have firewall/Antivirus/parental control software that may have written to your router/modem to restrict sites (McAffee or Kasperksy software for example) ?
Are you signed in with the same account that purchased and installed both MCC and Halo Channel?
Do you have software or hardware inline that allows DVR/Video Capture?
Trying to eliminate some potential pitfalls… but I probably need a bit more information before we can figure out what the problem may be…
I’m having a slightly different problem. On Xbox One I try to launch the Halo Channel App, the screen goes black and returns me to the home screen. I’ve tried signing out, turning it on and off.
My NAT settings are open, no firewalls or anything like that. Any ideas?

I’d try uninstalling it, doing a deep power down (Unplug for about 3 minutes), reboot, then re-install… if that doesn’t work, then I am mostly out of ideas. The only thing I can imagine dropping out that way would be something badly cached… If that doesn’t fix it, let me know and I can try to find other ideas. This is something we haven’t seen at all internally, so I am pretty curious at this point.

Sorry for the late reply, I am logging in with the account which brought the game, it is on my Xbox one and the modem has no restrictions. Hope that helps

There was a channel update released a few days back. Were you prompted to download any updates when you last started the channel app?
FatherlyNick is correct… there was an update that went out on Friday, April 3rd (Or timeshifted from that date) that addressed some issues, so please make sure you are up to date. We are not aware of any issues preventing the channel from playing at the moment.
So when I tried to watch a video on the halo channel app on iOS it said content currently unavailable so I retired same thing happens so I tried every other video and it still said content currently unavailable anyone know what’s going on?
