I bought MCC when it first came out but after not being able to play online for the first two weeks i was able to get a refund through customer support. the weird thing is i get a error when trying to load up the halo channel. saying that i need to sign in with the account i bought it with?
is it because halo channel is tied to MCC and im unable to use it without having MCC installed?
The two should be mutually exclusive, shouldn’t require MCC to run the HC app. Try uninstalling it, reboot your console and install it again and see if that helps
i have tried uninstalling it and restarting my console, it seem to think my account doesn’t have privileges to use halo channel. i have a feeling it has something to do with the fact when i got my refund for MCC because i lost my privliges on my account to launch that it somehow effected the halo channel as well.
By any chance do you have another account on your kit that you can try logging in with, and attempting to launch Halo Channel? It shouldn’t even need to be a Gold account, just any account should be sufficient. Also, which gamertag are you using in attempting to launch the game?
Additionally, if you have a Windows 8.1 PC, can you download and launch Halo Channel there?
As noted, the two programs shouldn’t be linked in any specific way, as Halo Channel should be a stand-alone app.
