Halo Channel ended cause the Waypoint app?

So I was trying to see what Halo Channel Really is (I’ve had it but I didn’t understand what it was used for cuz we have waypoint) so after opening it I get a message saying "The Halo Channel is currently unavailable, pleas check back soon" So I went to DownDetector and apparently it’s been out for 10 days like this is there a reason why? Is it because of the Halo Waypoint App Coming with Halo Infinites Flight/or release?

The Halo Channel app hasn’t had much support for a while now. I think the waypoint app will end up fully replacing it

Halo Channel was really cool and exciting back in 2014 along the launch of MCC and Halo 5. Of course, when MCC flopped pretty hard, so did a lot of the enthusiasm along with it.

But it’s been in disrepair for some time. It’s a good idea, just needs implemented and supported better.

I think they said the waypoint app will take its place
