I was really excited when CEA was announced. The game is nice and of course better looking than the original game. But there are parts that could be better - graphically…but thats not my problem.
Why the hell did 343 take the “Halo CE PC” sounds. For example the Grunt screamings when they die. It sounds crappy and everytime the same death-sound pops up.
The worst thing is in the German translated part. The screams of the grunts are so disappointing! Why did they do that? The english and german XBOX Gamesounds were perfect!!! Now everytime i hear a grunt dieing…well…its like someone stabs you with a dagger right into your heart ;(
At this point my excitement really turns into disappointment -.- Really…who did this to the grunts? I dont even want to play it anymore ;(
One sound is making you not want to play the whole game? Turn the sound off, subtitles on, and listen to some music.

Tell me that you like the Grunt sounds??? It sounds like a mixture of Halo Xbox (german), Halo Xbox (english) and Halo PC (german).
And i’m talking of those “uaaaaahhhhh” sounds. How could they? ;( I mean…Halo…its like some piece of art! And they ruined it for me…but that’s just my opinion…
Yes your right. Just watched a german Let’s Play and the grunts do the same deathscream 90% of the time.

In the original Halo Ce you have something like 3 deathscreams for the grunts:
Uuuaaaaoooh!, a short choking scream and one similar to the second.
In this german Cea Version I’ve seen, you only got 2 version of deathscreams:
An annoying “AHHHHH” or NOTHING!
you can compare sounds. i think the english ones had a little change too. but its not that annoying like the german one is.
Heres an example of the Halo Versions:
Halo - English(Xbox): Original perfect sounds
Halo - German(Xbox): Original perfect sounds
Halo - English(PC): Original perfect sounds (seems to be the first release cos sound=xbox release)
Halo - English(PC): slightly different sounds but not that annoying
Halo - German(PC): slightly different sounds but annoying as hell
Halo - English(Xbox360): slightly different sounds but not that annoying
Halo - German(Xbox360): slightly different sounds but annoying as hell
I’m just about to start a post myself on this sort of thing. I love Halo1 more than any game on the planet but wow has the anniversary version got some it ugly issues. Finished the game about 30 mins ago and i’m actually quite disgusted with what they’ve done to this so called fan service product

You know whats stupid? When people like you play the game and hone in on a tiny flaw that does not detract from the overall gameplay. Stop whining like a little B**ch and play the damn game.
God -Yoink!-, if i went through the original Halo from the Xbox i could find a dozen of these little “annoyances” but because this is a remake, it must be so damn easy to pick it apart.

Are you talking about the Assault Rifle? Sounds fine to me, personally.
