After viewing all of the Terminals, what do you think the implications are on Halo 4’s Story. I maybe way off on what I interpreted the terminals to mean in moving forward, but it was established there were I believe 5 yet to be discovered Halo rings. Ovbiously, I believe this is going to have a huge impact on the direction Halo 4 decides to explore. Beyond that, based on some of the cryptic dialouge of 343 guilty spark, I belive we maybe in for a fight with reminents of the forerunners and the flood. Any thoughts? Am I totally of base? What do you all think? Either way it is set up to be an epic new trilogy arc.
I agree, at the end of The Maw terminal, It shows for a spilt second the Didact’s crest as 343 says that we Reclaimers might almost prefer the Flood.
In terms of Halos found 03,04 and 05 have been found.
I think in Halo 4 we will fight the Didact and the Forerunners.

Yea, if the Flood isn’t bad enough, we get a Yoinked! off Forrunner general!
I wonder if this sheds any light on the “ancient enemy” picture in the Halo 4 Concept Art Teaser. Until now we were trying to make that thing look like a Precurser…is it the Didact instead?

Maybe a battle-suit? A mechanized Didact? 0_0
I’m terrified…of that.

I hadn’t considered that. There are a few possibilities, but this one seems to be making the most sense right now.
well it isn’t explicitly stated that he will be an enemy, he will be making an appearance, that’s for sure.
Didn’t Spark, in one of the terminals say that humanity was an “ancient enemy” to the Forerunners? It could go the other way, and is a good implication of the Forerunners being the enemy (or one of them :P)
I still think there are more terminals hidden in the game. There was one accessed via Waypoint, and future terminals could be accessed that way too.
If that’s is the case why name the Humans Reclaimers? I have a feeling the forerunners enemy will become our enemy.
The terminals were incredibly interesting, and the last terminal has really sparked an interesting shift towards the forerunners being the enemy. Also let’s remember the terminal regarding the ship that crashed and contained an un-logged life form.
As we know it is incredibly likely that the Didact and another bunch of forerunners have survived the original Halo firing sequence. We too know that there is a last remaining Precursor kicking about. Remember that the precursors were not logged in the Ark, thus the spaceship that crashed on Halo could have been the escaping Precursor, and as it was not logged could not be recognized by 343GS. This is a thin analysis. I’m not entirely settled on it myself and I think the species contained in the ship could also possibly be one that has yet to be presented to us in Halo lore and therefore it’s intentions are as of yet unclear. However, if it is the precursor then the ship may have survived the firing of Halo in Halo CE and landed with the wreckage of Halo on a surrounding planet.
Also remember that the Forerunner civilization went through some civil conflicts and that it is very likely that the Forerunners will return as both allies and enemies, with the precursors being the mutual enemy. I think they way in which army like numbers of both forerunners and precursors are going to return is through forerunner dna replication tech.
ONI found installation 03- read Glasslands.

There’s a few problems with this.
-
The Timeless One was the last Precursor, and unless he somehow survived these past 100,000 years, the Precursors are not returning.
-
The Forerunners has several chances to save their civilization, and they chose not too. They aren’t returning, either.

Wrong the Forgotten One was the last known Precursor in the galaxy. The precursors left after there war with the Forerunners and are possibly the creators of the flood to begin with.
Also I would like to edit that the Forerunners only known survivors was less than a dozen so if there coming back its going to be only one of them or in the form of holograms would be my guess.

It may be worth noting Halo 4’s description calls the antagonist an ancient Evil, not an Ancient Enemy. Didact is not evil, therefore I find it extremely hard to believe he’s the enemy. If he is…well, I don’t know what to think. But I’ll be enjoying the story a lot less after that.
All we know is that he’ll probably make an appearance.
What ever that picture up there was, I’d p*** myself if we had to fight armies of those guys…

1)It seems kinda obvious, what with the build up and all that, that the Timeless One is the villain.
- We’ve known the Forerunners survived for years. Its in the Encyclopedia, it says they left the galaxy after the Rings fired.

He said it himself: “I am the last of those who gave you form and breathe”. He was the last Precursor. I’ve had a feeling the Precursors made the Flood since I read Cryptum, but I don’t think that has anything to do with this.
