I’m a bit miffed that the composer didn’t stick with the original cues (by that I mean the exact tracks that were released with the original) but I guess since its a remake, they recorded it differently, etc. Want to make the releases at least seem differnt they changed it up, but part of me is still mad that I don’t see a specific Halo Theme Track (THAT SHOULD BE A REQUIREMENT FOR EVERY HALO SOUNDTRACK EVER, I have no idea what Marty was thinking when he didn’t do it for Halo 3…) But in the end I’m still happy that I get some new Halo tunes to listen to even if it is just remastered. Thanks 343i.
Special thanks to Martin O’Donnell and Michael Salvatori for making the original music and Thanks to Paul Lipson , Lennie Moore and , Tom Salta and Brian Trifon for helping remake this epic soundtrack and adding some fun new stuff!
2 disc? Nice! Hope that means we’re getting the game music that didn’t make it into the original game’s 1 disc soundtrack (like the lost song from AOTCR). When I go pick up my pre-order from Best Buy, I’ll have to quick run into the music section and see if they have any copies of this so I can buy that at the same time.

I didn’t get a chance to buy a copy of Halo 1’s sound track back when it first came out. But if Bungie did the same thing they did with Halo 2’s sound track, then the song is in there, it’s just packed in with another group of songs and released as one song, Bungie some times likes to do that.

Wait… what was that last one?
Didactic Principle?
Does that mean that we’ll have that rumored post credits scene in the Forerunner-Flood war or anything?
Maybe we’ll have a full soundtrack with no omitted music for once! I’m not getting my hopes up, as the only fully complete soundtrack I’ve ever heard of is The Lord of the Rings: The Complete Recordings. Though of course, I did arrange a perfectly complete Halo 2 Soundtrack album.
The track is called The Lost Muse and it played in AOTCR in the part where you grab an active camo in a corridor then slip past two hunters in a room. Its not on the OST but i do have it in mp3 form. Id love to know where to collect more tracks that are not on the OSTs.
