I was going to pre-order Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary edition, but when I really thought about it, I didn’t really think it was worth it. I mean, all the multiplayer will be available on Reach, and the Campaign can be played on the original Combat Evolved. Sure the graphics are better, but is it really worth 40 bucks for graphics. And if you’re going to talk about how you can play campaign over live in Halo CEA, is it really that hard to have your friend come over to your house?
nope, i’m not wasting $40 on a game that has $10 worth of campaign and $15 dollars worth maps. I’ll just wait till the DLC comes out.
Sorry to bust your bubble sirs but there will be no DLC. All new maps are goin to be disk only.
> Sorry to bust your bubble sirs but there will be no DLC. All new maps are goin to be disk only.
That is incorrect all the maps coming with H:CEA will be available as DLC shortly after H:CEA releases.
umm no there is new armor shipping on new disk that would be impossible to dl new armor on retail reach
It is if your houses are in two countries. xP
> umm no there is new armor shipping on new disk that would be impossible to dl new armor on retail reach
I didn’t say anything about Armor. You said there would be no DLC that all the maps would be on the disk only. That is not correct.

Really? The game itself should be 60$ because of how good it is.
Um it comes with 20$ worth of maps, the original is 15$ used and then you get new graphics, remastered sound, achievements, co-op, access xbox live stuff like live party chat ect, some kinect feature, terminals, skulls ect. So If you wana believe that it isn’t a good deal that’s your choice, but to me I’m pretty sure that I’m getting more than my moneys worth.
Worth every penny of it’s already cheap price tag. It’s a nostalgia thing for me.
Same reason I bought the 3DS version of LoZ Ocarina of Time.
I love to play my childhood favorites with updated graphics. It’s a really fun feeling. The multiplayer maps are a nice bonus but I’d have bought it without them anyways. For me, Halo has contained my favorite stories and character in any [game]universe. It’s a no-brainer in my book.
Okay, let’s break it down into prices.
$15 - Maps
$15 - Campaign
$5 - Achievements, live, graphics, etc.
Feel free to correct me if you don’t believe that those prices are right.
So, the maps will be available to Reach, so now it’s worth $25.
Most people will already have Halo CE, so it’s really just worth $15.
If you don’t have Halo CE, you should definitely buy it. But otherwise, I just don’t see CEA’s worth.

$5 or more-Theater, Forge, Custom games, pretty much everything in Reach and more.
You’re getting more than enough, it’s more than worth it.
Exactly, you have all that stuff in Reach already! What’s the point of spending $40 on something you already have in Halo Reach? They’re using the same graphics as Reach, they’re using the same multiplayer as Reach, they have the same campaign as Halo CE, and all the new maps will be on Halo Reach! I thought about getting it for the Achievements, but $40 for 1k gamerscore? Not worth it.
The real question is!
Are YOU worthy of buying HCEA?
Terminals and skulls.
Sure, you can play the original CE campaign over split screen, but I personally despise split screen and welcome the opportunity to play co-op CE campaign FULL SCREEN over XBL at any place and time. Perhaps this is a feature that only classic players such as myself will appreciate, but for the new-age folks, they can look forward to updated graphics along with 3D support. Like I said, to each there own. I look forward to making the investment.
Skulls and Terminals worth $40? And how many of you actually use skulls other than grunt birthday party and IWHBYD? You might do it when playing Mythic, but you’re probably only going to do Mythic once.

Honestly, I can’t remember the last time when I intentionally left those fun skulls off. The game doesn’t seem quite as alive for me without Grunt Birthday Party and IWHBYD. Again, to each there own, but as a long time Halo fan, I’ve very much looking forward to purchasing this game. It also gives me a chance to introduce others to the franchise with the new, improved graphics rather than taking it down a notch simply so the can get the full story.

I mean new skulls.

And? If new Armor does come with CEA, it’s quite easy to just give the none CEA users the maps and no new armor. It’s not really fair but unless you buy the game. You can’t have it. Simple as.
