Is this another Halo game that isn’t HD resolution or will it run at 1280x720? I’ve seen a few websites mention sub HD for this game as well as some bad aliasing. I hope this isn’t true.
I was under the impression that it supported 1080p.
Little to no games are 720p anyway.

The Xbox 360 itself does: though the up-scaling chip. What the games native resolution is can be very different.
I believe the games native resolution is 1152x720. Same resolution as Reach. You shouldn’t be concerned anyway, the difference between 1280 and 1152 are minimal. Besides, having 343 waste memory on native 1280x720 just isn’t worth it when 1152x720 can provide almost the same quality at a lower memory/bandwidth cost. Simple trade offs really. In return, we should get higher resolution alpha effects, better lighting, etc…
I’ll ask Dan Ayoub on Twitter.
What a troll worthy/provacative title for such an opening post.
Reach is 720x1152pi. I say pi because the dual buffer system displays 2 images of contrasting shades and tones at a speed of 60fps.
So an image is interlaced progressively at 30fps.
Now, to answer the actual question, yes, CEA will be 720x1152. I believe this to be so because CEA is being offered in stereoscopic 3D similar to a couple other titles for the 360.
PS: The 360 is more capable of doing 3D than the PS3 is, the PS3 is just better at calculating physics. Displaying them on the other hand, the PS3 ain’t got nothing on the 360. If you think a PS3 exclusive game looks great, you should see it on a video card capable of displaying things more properly… bazzinga.
