I was wondering if halo CEA was going to have its own multiplayer, or are we gonna be stuck with this stupid tittle update thing for reach. I am really hoping that it has its own multiplayer, also are we gonna have the 60 round mag AR, 12 shot pistol, and the 9 shot shot gun? And please for the love of god get rid of the focus beam and bring back the beam rifle.

Nope, not happening. Only the 3sk magnum will return in the TU.

CE Multiplayer wont be coming to anniversary for a couple of reasons.
It wont fit in the initial disk
Putting it onto another disk will jack the price up.
It isn’t compatible with Xbox live.

literally, I will pay for a whole other disk, just to play CE’s multiplayer on new graphics. i would be SO HAPPY if they did. my heart felt like it was gonna explode when they said they would be using reach’s multiplayer.
i just played halo CE with my friends recently, to get psyced for Anniversary, and as we were playing on bloodgulch, not coagulation, not vahalla, not hemmorrige, but BLOODGULCH, i nearly cried knowing that i will not be able to play this masterpiece over xbox live, with updated graphics, and the same game mechanics.
Couple reasons why they decided not to do it.
1 - They didn’t want to spilt up the player base unnecessarily.
2 - Technical issues. They couldn’t make it work. Instead, they simply introduced the title update to Reach to give old-school gamers their own little slice of memory, however they wanted it.
3 - True and true Halo: CE multiplayer over Live wouldn’t be the same as the old system link.

meh, best reason on here, can’t dispute they would lose a lot of reach players to the better game, but is that really a bad thing for the fans? shouldn’t they focus on giving them what they want?

I think it would be even better. much more doable.
All in all, these reasons are given, but i don’t think they outweigh the benifits. i mean, halo CE was, is and forever will be, AMAZING. and i am EXTREMELY EXCITED to play the campaign. but i am so, so, SO dissappointed that multiplayer will not be making a comeback.
oh well… maybe the modding community will do it.

To make the multiplayer work. they would probably need a new netcode or something along those lines. Not an expert on that stuff, but when they said it it made sense to me.
