I know there’s going to be an update for halo 3/reach/4 sometime after halo 4 is released so here’s an idea:
Halo reach currently lacks dlc playlist’s, some of us don’t care for the lottery for hoping a dlc list pops up so why not just include normal big team in the halo cea disc?
They claim that the dlc maps are in there which I have never seen so either someone was lieing or it’s like winning the lottery. So my solution was to put them on the cea disc playlist since I have all the dlc map packs for halo reach plus if they bothered doing that then it would make it more likely for people to see those playlists.
Plus the playlists are already there so it couldn’t hurt to make it show up on the halo cea ‘reach’ multiplayer.
Ah… No. No point. And it’s not exactly hard to play the DLC maps in matchmaking. Find a team of people who all have DLC… Then go in matchmaking. You’ll see the DLC maps in the voting screen every time.

Actually there is a point…If they did this I would never have to find the default maps, endless horrible forge maps. I shouldn’t have to find random teams just to play a map that will unlikely turn up. I have never seen the dlc in matchmaking since the august update, that’s 2 months with no dlc, I play every day!
I still stand by what I said on one of these other DLC related threads:
Step one: Give every Reach player a (free) break on the DLC map packs- meaning the Noble and Defiant and not the Anniversary. Most people wanting the DLC maps and achievements own CE:A already and those that don’t can get the maps with the game or use Microsoft Points. Maybe even reduce the price on that one?
Step two: Make the highest frequented playlists- Team Slayer, Living Dead, BTB, possibly Invasion- be all DLC required.
Step three: Change up the algorithm so that one original map, one forged and one DLC map appear in the voting options. By putting the DLC in these playlists this takes care of nearly all the DLC achievements that are impossible to get these days.
It worked for Halo 3… why not Reach? With Halo 4’s launch, it won’t mean Microsoft will be losing a huge chunk of money on DLC profits anyway. Those that continue to play Reach will download them and extend Reach’s lifespan.
Well I wouldn’t mind if they made dlc required playlists but the problem is 343i only seem to care about is their terrible forge maps. The problem is a lot of people put a lot of effort into these maps, then we don’t even see them.
I have heard people saying making them free but I’d rather they didn’t since I bought every dlc, well the only comprimise I can think of is making them cheaper so more will buy them.
My original idea was something that should have been done straight from the start but was poorly planned out.
Also it may have worked for halo 3 but a lot of people complained about it, instead the people who could be bothered to buy the dlc aka ‘loyal fans’ get punished.
