Halo:cea maps won't work on reach

Hey everyone, I need help on figuring this out. I have downloaded the code that was needed to play the Halo: CEA maps on the Halo: Reach disc, and it won’t load the maps on the Reach disc. When I use my CEA disc, they load just fine, but when I put in my Reach disc, it doesn’t load them at all. However, it says I have them on my hard drive, but when I go into the Matchmaking for the CEA playlist, it will kick me once I get into a lobby. I have deleted and re-downloaded the map pack over and over again and still the same problem. So if anyone could help me out, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I thought you had to have the CEA disc?

I do, but that doesn’t let me play with my other map packs I have downloaded for Halo: Reach (Noble and Defiant.) I downloaded the Anniversary maps and it says they are on there, but when I go to a custom game or matchmaking on my Reach disc, it says “Players failed to load content” or something along those lines. I don’t want to constantly want to keep deleting and keep downloading the Anniversary maps from my download history if it is not going to work. I want to play my Reach disc with the Anniversary maps on it so I can enjoy the full matchmaking experience. So if someone has had this problem, or a solution, it would be greatly appreciated.

I’m having the exact same problems as you…and it’s -Yoink!- me off. The really weird and annoying part is other people on my Xbox can play on them but I can’t even though I redeemed the maps onto my account. It seems 343 doesn’t even care about this and won’t bother to fix it.

If anyone can give a possible solution I am all ears.

CEA Maps from the Anniversary Disc will Not work with Reach Maps, because while using that disc the only maps you have available to you are ON that disc, even if you have the Reach DLC and the game installed to the HDD.

In order to use the CEA maps along With the Reach Maps you must use the DLC code you were given or bought and then download/install them to the HDD. Even with that you still need to CD to at least Run the game.

Now, if you have them all downloaded/installed. You are running Reach and you cannot load the maps there could be at least two reasons why.

Scratch on the Disc making it un-readable, however if the game and content are installed on the machine this should not be a problem.

I/0 Error on you HDD making them un-readable anyway.

I would contact them about it directly either via the game box, or try sending bs angel a message on here, but not creating a post about it, just try messaging her directly.

If you have Bungie Pro or a previous pack, try deleting those. There used to be an issue with having more than 2 active licenses in Reach DLC. I thought this issue was addressed, but it could be causing your problems.

Delete your Bungie Pro confirmation. It will still prevent one of your map packs from loading even in 1.1

Hmph, they should have fixed that with the 1.1 update. Guess not.
