Your best bet is to submit a support ticket to the support site and be as descriptive and detailed as possible. There have been several complaints about this issue here lately and I’m not sure if 343 are aware so definitely submit one.

Just tried to get this achievement both ways. I did both Beginning tunnel and near the end of the mission on the ledge on easy, normal and legendary all played music but won’t trigger for me as well. It definitely needs a patch fix.
8/19 and still not fixed.
I have tried the original way at the end of the mission.
i have tried staying in the pelican and hopping off the pelican as the screen fades.
I have tried shooting the banshee down to the ground with a tank, then flew backwards to where the pelican takes you.
I heard the music on the 2nd and 3rd but no achievement.
on legendary.
this really sucks, because about a month ago i went full send on achievement farming. i’m around 670/700 completed.
really hope it’s patched before i’m at 699.
