Hello people from 343 and HaloWaypoint:
I have Halo CE Anniversary on Xbox 360 “E” Series (the new console) and during campaign the game enables by itself the 3D funcion, swhitches between the HD mode to the classic mode, launches grenades by itself, enables/disables subtitles, also the bright and contrast are affected, and even when pressing pause button it returns to the game automatically.
THIS IS VERY ANNOYING!!
With Xbox Support online I already had just did:
- Verify if this happens with other games… NO, it does not happens with other games (Halo 4, Halo Reach, etc.)
- Verify if his happens with other controls… YES, it happens with other controls
- Verify if his happens with other profiles… YES, it happens with other profiles.
- Deleted updates from the game… problem remains.
- Download the update form the game again… problem remains.
- Deleted profiles from the game… problem remains.
I really need your help with it. I love Halo since Halo CE for PC and it is frustating to enjoy this game with this kind of problems.

Sounds like a controller issue.
Does it happen with the same controller on a different Xbox 360?

This sounds like a Kinect issue. Do you have a Kinect? If so, you may need to do one of two things:
1: Limit background noise. The Kinect is tuned to pick up certain words and phrases that cause actions, such as throwing a grenade or switching between classic and remastered modes.
2: Unplug the Kinect. You won’t have access to the Analyze feature of the game, but it’s still better than having a hyperactive game.
Hope this helps.
Hi Chief KalEd,
Are you still experiencing this issue?
@Vector0: this happens with any controller on the same xbox. I haven’t tested the same game nor controller on other xbox.
@Cizlin: I unplugged the kinect from the console and the game works fine. I don’t have any of the issues I mention.
@Forum team: why does this happen? I’d like to use kinect as is ment to be with this game. what does it need to do si I can play Halo CEA with kinect plugged?
Regards.

I’d try calibrating it for background noise. You can do that by plugging it in and running Kinect Tuner from the Settings menu on the Dashboard.
Hi Chief KalEd,
This sounds like an issue with your Xbox or Kinect and thus is out of our scope. We recommend you contact Xbox Support in one of the following ways:
