I have a question for the employees at 343 Industries. To play the “Beta” of Halo: CEA multiplayer, is Halo: Reach required?

There’s no “Beta” of HCEA multiplayer.

If you mean the Beta Hoppers then you would most likely need a copy of Halo Reach to test the TU stuff.

Actually there will be a playlist in October “Beta Hoppers”, and it’s geared towards playing before CEA comes out to get feedback from the community on changes from the TU. Things like whether or not we really like the three shot Magnum.

So since it is coming out before CEA than yes you will need Reach. It is available to download.

To play in the beta hoppers playlist you will need a copy of Halo:Reach.
