Hey all. So upon launching Halo CEA on the Steam version of MCC, I unlocked most of the achievements for that game that I had previously unlocked years earlier. All but the “All according to plan” achievement (Kill the first group of enemies on Truth and Reconciliation without being spotted)
Anyone else run into this bug?
I can confirm. I tried this achievement six times maybe and have not gotten it. Also, the global Steam achievements tracker puts this at 0 percent at the time of writing this.

Is that the Charted achievement? I noticed that Steam said I unlocked it but I didn’t get an Xbox notification for it through the Xbox app.
Can also confirm that it’s bugged. Thought I was just messing up somehow but I see other people are also having troubles.

For me the achievement didn’t unlock on steam but it did unlock on xbox.

Nevermind I have received the achievement for beating par time on silent cartographer by beating the par time on Halo, seems like they got them mixed up.
So I got this unlocked on Xbox but not steam
agreed that its bugged. did this 20 times assuming that i was somehow the one faulting but nope. Glad to see that its not me.
I can’t unlock it on xbox either after several attempts with different settings.
I’m not able to unlock it on Xbox either and looking at Trueachievements nobody’s unlocked it since the 5th so i’m pretty sure the launch of the PC version somehow broke this achievement. Hope it gets fixed soon.

Saw that someone on True-achievements got this on the 20th, the first tracked person to get it since the 5th so maybe its finally fixed now?
Still not fixed - I’m unable to unlock. And don’t expect 343 to fix it; they’ve closed my support ticket saying there is no problem.

Our team has verified on multiple occasions that it is possible to unlock this achievement on PC (both the Microsoft store and Steam versions) and other platforms, but it is very difficult. Please let us know if you encounter any other issues while playing the Master Chief Collection.”
So I submitted a ticket about this achievement and this was 343’s response:
"Hello Rim of the Sky,

Then I asked this person to elaborate on what they meant by that and if there were plans to fix the achievement and this was their response:
"Hello Rim of the Sky,
We have no plans to change “All According to Plan…” or any other achievements. The achievements were established with the launch of MCC in 2014 and have been verified to work as intended with each additional launch since then.

Then I explained that it could be different for Xbox and Steam versions as I have read that some Xbox players have been able to unlock it in the past, and this was his response:

Our test teams have verified that it is possible to unlock this achievement on all platforms and storefronts. This includes both PC and Steam. The Steam achievement page for MCC also reflects that a small group of users have successfully earned this achievement.

So from what I understand everyone that has had trouble unlocking this achievement multiple times is just doing it wrong because it’s “very difficult” even though the description of it is pretty straightforward. Either that or achievement is just permanently bugged because 343 wont even acknowledge that its broken. That is unless someone more competent than the person I emailed at 343 decides to do something about it.
I’ve been attempting this achievement on both easy and normal. not gotten shot at many run throughs, gotten 7 grunts, 1 elite, 2 jackals, no missed shots. did not unlock, some attempts of which I recorded, hoping to see afterwards if I missed anything (an enemy shooting at me etc.).
WRT Rim of the Sky and his 343 Support Agents encounters, I too hunted down the achievement list for Halo:MCC on steam, some achievements for Halo 4&3, as in the campaigns that havent come out yet on steam have the same unlock percentage as that achievement (0.1%), TrueSteamAcheivements tracks 1 player who has the achievement via the Steam version, which implies not a hard achievement, but a broken one.
TrueAchievements lists that Achievement as discontinued/unobtainable. The only way seems to be for Xbox version only, getting your hands on a physical copy and doing it there, effectively in a TU before it was broken. Which removes the possibility of Steam version being able to get it.

I updated my support ticket to reflect that (as well as the fact that I tried to grenade method that worked on Xbox, without moving at all and thus cannot have been seen). I’m not hopeful the outcome is going to be any different, unfortunately.
I tried doing it on the old CEA 2011 version and there I easily got it right away, so its not supposed to be hard.

I just did this, and straight away popped up for me, its a hastle, but shows it is currently bugged on the current build
> Okay after having issues unlocking this achievement I messaged vexer6 the most recent person to unlock it. Here’s what he said to do in order to unlock it, I would just add that you MUST have a physical copy of the game for this solution to work. I had to start the game for it to unlock, but hopefully it will help anyone else having issues too. Not sure why someones voting me down, I’m only trying to help, and credited the guy that told me a solution.

Yeah that was the fix/workaround I alluded to, but for those on Steam/elsewhere on PC/ etc. it isnt quite a possibility to do
