Halo CE3 is a yearly live streamed event hosted by Slowbullet and Matthew Dratt. during this event fans who still play halo custom edition on the pc can come and showcase what it is that they have been working on all year long. halo custom edition was an addon for halo pc made by gearbox software that allowed the creation and use of custom multiplayer and singleplayer maps. along with that came the halo editing kit (HEK for short). it utilised bungies in house development software to allow users to make custom maps, vehicles, weapons, bipeds etc. all of the awesome custom content has allowed this games community to survive over 10 years and it continues to survive for the time being.

343 look at this, look at what the pc community has done on a 10 year old engine. imagine what we could do with a newer version of the blam engine. to have halo 3 with an editing kit that gives us the same freedoms as halo custom edition would be a huge boost to this community and would allow pc players to “finish the fight”. not to mention lots of new halo fans who are likely to buy the newer games.
