So, I tried playing Halo CE with MnK on my Xbox for the first time today. At first, everything was going ok. Then I encountered this issue where, basically, the game kept swapping weapons on its own every 5 seconds or so without me touching anything. I had to reboot the game in order to fix it, even then, that isn’t for long.
After PoA, I went into Halo. Again, everything was ok, but around the 30 minute mark the bug returned. I cannot even swap on my own, the game won’t let me. This basically makes Halo CE unplayable with MnK for me. I had to switch back to controller.
I put weapon swapping on scroll wheel down, if that’s of any relevance. Even though it still happens with the original commands. I simply have no idea why it happens. Anyone else?

I remember I had a bug that was similar to this where I couldn’t pick up weapons or interact with anything. I rebooted my PC and a Windows update was installed. Problem disappeared after that. Must of had something to do with the update, so make sure there isn’t anything pending.

At first I thought it might be the wheel being in a kinda weird spot, since I’ve had some experiences with MCC not seeming to handle me binding switch to scroll-up/down well for…some reason… XD If it’s still acting up bound to other keys though, I’d imagine Mike’s probably hit it on the head with the Windows update thing, because I had the EXACT same weird stuff where I couldn’t pick-up any weapons/interact with anything. The only thing I don’t remember is getting the weapon-switching glitchiness, but it definitely sounds like the random, unexplainable stuff that the Windows update randomly, unexplainably fixed for me! Now, let this thread go down the rabbit-hole of wondering why a Microsoft-owned game becomes randomly unplayable if the Microsoft-owned OS hasn’t gotten the most recent updates, yet it doesn’t seem to ever have any effect on other titles.
