My friend and I played through the entire campaign of Halo: CE on Legendary even through all of the terrible connectivity issues. Finally we get to the last level, The Maw, beat it and it DISCONNECTS him right after the final cutscene so he gets none of the achievements or rewards, and I still got them all but it says I played the level on solo. Then I was able to convince him to replay The Maw again today… SAME PROBLEM! It disconnected him right after the final cutscene and he STILL did not get the achievements or rewards for beating the game! This is absolutely a disgrace and he now says that he is returning the game so thanks 343 for the wonderful multiplayer co-op experience that infuriated my friend so much that he is returning the game.

Same issue here. Very frustrating.
Please, fix it as soon as possible.

Same problem I was on the short end of it. Do you know if you hosted the session both times? Supposedly with this particular problem whoever was not the host will get disconnected

You can’t return an opened game. You can only exchange it for another copy of the same game.

Yes I was the host both times. I think we are going to try this again but set my friend as the host so that if the “second player” does disconnect after the final mission completes, at least it will be me and he can catch up with level progression/achievements.
