Halo CE Terminal Ship

So we never figured out what that could have been did we? Thats bound to be important at some point.

It was to make changes to the story so it fit with Halo 4’s story.

How so?

I theory it as possibly Procursor in origin, a automated scouting ship that simply crashed itself onto Installation 04 to record the location.

At some point, I guess it may have actually buried a locator device in the Installation, to simply tag it for later on. If such were so, then the Procursors would be aware of the Halos locations throughout the galaxy, seeing they are extremely important strategic installations.

Rational explanation anyhow.
I don’t see why anyone else would simply crash a ship into Installation 04 and just leave it there.

That ship looked like a Reaper

The Terminal 05 Species still doesn’t make sense to me. They are somehow tied in with the Didact, that much is certain. The text of the language that the Terminal 05 Species uses appears constantly in Halo 4’s campaign, floating around the Didact symbol. Whoever/whatever they were, there is a chance that they were composed into more Prometheans. That seems like the Didact’s train of thought when he runs into any other large population.

Im sure at some point it will be tied in, kind of surprising there was no hint at it though in Halo 4.

The text was there, and around the Didact Symbol, so we know from that the species has to have had some encounter with him. Halo 4 brought us that information whereas before they were just a mysterious species that happened to somehow get near Installation 04 while every other species was playing with rocks after the reseeding.

How they met the Didact I have no idea. It has to have been he Bornstellar Didact though, because when they made their appearance in CEA, the Ur-Didact was snoozing.

Also in the missions Requiem and Composer the same symbols are there. In Requiem there is a circle with the symbols all over it Cortana translates it and it says " Guardianship of the galaxy lies with whose evolution is most complete". Which seems to be pointing at the mantle.

Also in the Mission Composer there are artifacts pulled from Installation 03 which has the same symbols which doctor Tilson says these symbols have a greater meaning i need to study them more.

Wow. I don’t remember that first line but that is huge. I hate to jump on the Precursor bandwagon that I normally oppose, but its got to be them. They are the ones deciding who will uphold the Mantle, and control evolution. I think thy are saying that they want the Mantle back, actually. They are the most evolved. Either that or they are about to send in some Flood in Halo 5 and test humanity, which is what I originally thought but this certainly is interesting, because the text reads as if whoever wrote it owns the decision on who upholds the Mantle, which in my eyes can be nothing but the Precursors.
