Hi, can you guys please make the Halo CE remake available for PC version too? I mean a lot of us still play Halo and Halo Custom Edition Online for PC. We even have our own MLG style battle in Halo PC which can be found at Halo PC Tournament - The community for Halo PC & competitive ladder/tournament, HaloPC.org ! Most of us in the HPT forums website still play matches by creating clans and playing against other clans in 1v1 battle or higher (mostly higher like 4v4s). We all love Halo PC, so why not make a remake of it for PC version as well along with the Xbox 360. I mean the reason why Halo 2 for PC didn’t get high sales was because it was for Windows Vista only at that time and a lot of us still use Windows XP today. So it would be good if you made the Halo CE remake for PC with at least 512MB or 1GB RAM support, and let’s say at least a graphics card of GT 240 or higher graphics to run it. Trust me, a lot of people will be getting it then, especially us who play HPT (Halo PC Tournament). If you check how many servers are in Halo PC, there would be like over 300 servers and the game is like 8 years old, and it’s because most players from HPT like us still buy servers from a company host and play in them for fun scrimmages and HPT matches. This would be a big dream if you guys made the version for PC. I won’t even care about Halo 3 for PC or Halo Reach for PC anymore. Just this please. Thank you.
Yes. Please 343 Make this port over to the pc too. It would just be such an amazing thing from you guys to do this. Most of us dont have xbox’s just pc’s. I will pray for you every night for the rest of my life if you do this.

hey i wish for HALO remake as i have be a dedcated player for many years and always played it as Halo is a very good game with many good guns ,maps, and ect dont let HALO die remake it and let HALO live for internity god bell you and make a great game continue for ever

A remake for the PC would be awesome - but at least they should us PC-Gamers finally finish the fight. We don’t care about Fable 3 being now available for the pc - WE SIMPLY WANT HALO 3 ON THE PC.

I started playing halo when i was 15 and i’m 22 now. I love this game a great deal whether for leisure or competitive gaming. If you could port the game to PC you would gain a large and skilled following of pc gamers and above all else would prove that flashy console games do not need to replace challenging and fun games like halo.
Halo CEA uses Reach for multiplayer. This isn’t happening.
I have seen many posts about converting certain franchises Bungie has developed (i.e. Halo 3, Halo: Reach) towards the PC. All the posts, all the arguments have led to the same precise result. No such thing can happen. Although I would love to see Halo CE for the PC remade, redone, and remastered, but there are just too many variables that would not allow for this to happen. I am not too sure of the specific variables but it’s something along the lines about having limited access of being able to control the amount of hackers within the game. The amount of Botters, Blue-wallers, and the torrenting of Halo CE for the PC has definitely taken a toll on the Game.
The only pros that I could think of if Halo CE would be remade for PC would be that it would attract attention to many PC players from other games. I have played Halo CE for the PC long enough to lose friends. My friends just got tired of Halo CE’s design and flaws so they moved on to Call Of Duty, Battlefield, World of Warcraft, and other games.
Oh yes… this remake must be made for PC aswell. People would be suprised that many players are still on HPC. And it would definately bring thousands back if this remake got on the pc. Of course there are the occasional pubbers but there are still large groups that create clans for this game on the pc still. Especially Pros, making custom tourny ladders and staying organized for this game. i dont see how it could be a problem to put it on here, since its pretty much the same game as it was said in the commentary, and the gameplay wasnt touched, and is now just eyecandy compared to the 2001 game. Every HPC community player would appreciate this if it wasn’t just for the xbox. Thanks.

A lot of people have been playing Halo PC for many years. It is highly flawed, very laggy and recieved very bad support but we still love it and it would be fantastic if this came to pc. I hear that the Campaign will use the original engine but the multiplayer will use the reach engine? Well I think both should use the original engine so it plays like the original game but with a new netcode. The latency is honestly the worst part of HaloPC. In terms of competitive play it has always been a matter of who has the better internet and that is wrong. Please bring it back and give us the game we should have received in the first place.

YEAH! Ignore the fact that halo 2 vista was such a monumental failure! reward your literal dozens of avid halo pc fans and port halo:ce to pc once again!
The only reason I don’t see this taking off is because of the graphical requirements the game will need to run smoothly, the fact that the game WILL need to be coded differently for PC (Since it’s not running on Xbox hardware and software, but PC components and PC software), and the time and energy that will need to be put forward.
My computer’s main specs are:
650W PSU
nVidia GTX 470
8GB RAM
Intel i5-750 @ 2.67Ghz
EVGA P55 SLI board
Even with these specifications I’m sure the game in it’s new state would bog the system down.
They are adding their finishing touches on Halo CEA and then they will be focusing all of their energy on Halo 4. I just don’t see the available time to finish such a project like this. As much as I’d like to see it happen, it just seems so unlikely. I wouldn’t get your hopes up. If they haven’t done Halo 3 in the 4 years we’ve been asking for it, why would they do a higher graphical demanding game such as Halo CEA?

Saber Interactive and Certain Affinity have been developing Halo Anniversary, with 343 on Halo 4. Saber and CA aren’t going to be helping on Halo 4, so I certainly think, other projects aside, it wouldn’t be too hard. Granted, CA didn’t have much to do with the campaign; they designed the multiplayer maps. If you exclude those from the proposed PC port, then all you would need is Saber.
Also of note, it’s Microsoft and Bungie that refused to do a Halo 3 port. This is a brand new company; who knows if they’d be up for it or not?

True. I didn’t account for that at all. And I know that Microsoft did not develop the PC version but Gearbox did (of CE). Yes who knows. No one but them, maybe they will wait on it so they don’t have too much on their plate at once?

I have been playing halo PC for 7 years and still play it to this day because despite its old graphics it still has the best gameplay,teamplay and competitive environment a game could ever dream of. Halo tends to become nubish (refer to halo reach) and has lost too much of its old style. I see Halo Reach as an improved version of gears of wars but disappointing in comparison to Halo CE. The thing that really puts me off with the new Halo’s is the loss of importance of pistol (as seen in Halo CE) : best weapon in the whole series (most balanced, what made Halo what it is), it is now cheaper than a secondary weapon which is a true shame.
I Really hope that Halo Anniversary will be released on PC, i dont have an xbox and never felt the need to have one : the gameplay is ruined, teamplay is inexistent and a joystick is definitely not worth a mouse/keyboard. I am deeply convinced that PC is the most suitable place for Halo to develop, imagine playing counter strike on xbox : that is just insane. Same applies to halo in my opinion.
I have met a lot of people over the years, and I remember these people who tried to run away from halo : “i quit halo”, but then they would always come back and play some matches again. Halo PC is the best game and it would really be a shame if Halo anniversary did not come out on PC. We, halo fans, have played your game(s) for years, the ONLY thing we ask you to do in return is to release Halo Anniversary on PC just like you did with Halo CE. I am speaking for all the people who still play on halo PC, please dont let us down. PC also allows communities to develop : u make friends then make your team then play matches and practise as a team and play in leagues or just play in public servers if you like to beat some assault riffle noobs. Xbox sucks.
As a former halo pro gamer i ask you to trust me and release this on PC.
And about cheaters, i suggest we make a spectator system like on quake so you can follow people / record them and if they really cheat then perma ban their CD key or something, although cheating is a secondary issue of low importance.
PS : best maps : ratrace, sidewinder, bloodgulch, chillout, hangemhigh, dangercanyon, but if i had to pick one then it would be ratrace ( easily the best map of all times, of course dont include bad weapons such as battle riffle or DMR’s keep the Halo 1 pistol)
PPS : sorry for long post but i feel like im having a discussion with Santa Claus lol, this really counts for me and for a LOT of other potential clients :}

Agreed. If I’m going to actually play this re-mod, or Remake what ever you prefer to call it I would want to see it on PC.
The PC is where I first played Halo online, I’ve been with it since 2004 making maps, animations, and Even hosting a yearly Show CE3 for it. Put halo where Halo first began online play, Where people learned how fun it was. where it was going to be originally, on a PC or MAC.
The old Community still exists who played Halo 1 together with Friends, Who were in clans making maps, who made machinimas. CE-R needs to be on PC.
