I dont know what the map is called but i just played shotgun slayer on it. The map with like 50 portals, it is really not a good experience. I actually like the concept and it could be fun. When i could find someone and fight it was fun. The problem is 95% was spent looking for people and 5% fighting, so overall really boring
The score was 28-21 at the end i mean come on. I think it should be changed to have less portals, or just cut some of the map out so everyone is funneled into a smaller area.
I’m pretty sure that you are talking about Chiron TL-34.
I don’t know how to say this without sounding rude (just know that I have the best intentions here), but the dev team is not going to “rework” the map. The map plays exactly like it did in the original game’s release, and was intentionally left the same on MCC. The map is infamous in the community for the exact issues that you described.
The best way to not experience these issues is to not play the map. The map is only in circulation for 4v4 Game Types. Search for 8v8 to avoid it altogether.
Halo CE and 2 are not really balanced to begin with, they are more in the vein of “fun, arcade arena” matches. If you intend to play them, be prepared to to have one team absolutely stomp the other, or to get cross-map laser-beamed with the Magnum/BR.
If you want a more “balanced” experience, play 3, Reach, or 4. Be aware that they each have their own little issues and quirks too.
Good luck, Spartan, and I hope you can have a good time.
Edit: Formatting.

It doesn’t play exactly like it did. Across the board the teleporter re-entry distance is half of what it used to be in the original CE release. You can peek through a portal and quickly return with little punishment. In the original you had to walk further from the portal before you could renter it, which makes it a more punishable risk. Chiron happens to suffer the most from this bug, especially on game modes like muskets or hellbringers.
The only playlist this map even appears in, is action sack. Just exclude it from the gametype selection and you should be fine in 4v4.

The above to comments describe the situation perfectly. I just wanted to put in my two cents and say that I really enjoy this map in a social setting.
Chiron is one of those maps that are really good in a customs setting but not that fun in a matchmaking setting although if you disable action sack you won’t get it.
