Halo CE : Playlists. Seriously

Obviously there is a wide range of opinions for the Halo CE: Playlist
I choose option “Yes Halo CE Should be 4v4 but keep 2v2 as well”

My reasoning to simply this. For ANY Halo CE player to play with 2+ friends in their party, the ONLY option to play Halo CE is through the regular TS playlist. This being the case, we get nothing but quitters, incomplete games, frustrated players from all players (NOT JUST HALO CE PLAYERS) that just want to play their preferable game.

Can you please express your opinions here…

Good post. I think their should be two options to play because only putting one option(2v2) is not fair to those that like to split screen CE or play in party’s of 3 or more.
Like you mentioned above their is a TS playlist in which we can play CE but most of the time when CE does get chosen everyone quits out, plus we have no obj games to play besides BTB which h1 hardly gets chosen and sometimes CE maps arent an option to choose from.

People are going to come in here and say that CE was meant to be played 2v2 and that “the spawns work better” but in reality its just a matter of opinion because the game was not meant to be played in ONLY ONE WAY…
Although I love playing 2’s I think its just not fair to all those casual gamers who dont time like the 90% of the dudes who asked for 2v2 in the first place.

I like your idea. Classic Team Slayer (4v4) and Double-Team are my two favorite competitive playlists. I hope 343 adds both in matchmaking.

Why do they keep shrinking the amount of players in this? Nobody is asking for this. I just played a Battle Creek 2v2 game and it just moved way to slowly. Halo CE spawned tournament console gaming and had millennials everywhere moving tvs and xbox’s around to play with more than 4 people. I’m still waiting for a 4v4 playlist on this game and I’m not sure what the hold up is. I know it’s in a high enough demand, there were plenty screaming for it when the game launched. I just booted mine up for the first time in 4 or so months to be, once again, dissapointed.

Well said. How hard is it to bump it to 4v4?

Hope they are checking out this feedback because people want more options its not fair.

> Why do you have such an attachment to 4v4 specifically? Because that size has become a competitive standard in similar games? As much as you may be used to that size now, it wasn’t in mind when CE was developed. The conventional understanding is that 4v4 is too many for slayer and not enough for CTF on any map beside bloodgulch. I have to wonder how much experience you folks have with CE 4v4 TS, because if you try it you’ll come to appreciate in nothing flat just how unbalanced it really is - twice the volume of grenades, not enough ammunition in the pistol to wipe the opposing team, increased likelihood of forced random spawns, less equal sharing of power ups and power weapons, less capacity for and importance in maintaining map control, etc. There is nothing inherently wrong with 4v4, and Halo CE is a great game, but the mixing of the two is like oil and water save for a few contrived scenarios.

I’ll agree that 4v4 is probably too crazy for many of the maps (Prisoner, Chill out, and Wizard to name a few), but 3v3 is a nice balance. Also, why do you think that CE was developed with 2v2 in mind? Most of the map descriptions say that the appropriate number of players is over 4. Just because 2v2 may have been more popular with the pro community, doesn’t mean that should be the default. That is what Team Hardcore is for. The Halo CE playlist should be for people who enjoy the game and want to play with people around the same skill level. It should not be a “pro” playlist.
