For the past year I’ve been reminiscing with friends about playing Halo CE on xbconnect before xbl was out. When CE anniversary came out it attached the multiplayer to Reach. Very disappointing.
For the past year anticipating MCC all we heard was the full CE would be on xbl. Now 2, 3, and 4 have dedicated playlists of some sort but not CE. Hoping that playlist still comes but this is extremely disappointing.
i really hope they have a dedicated playlist for Halo CE with all maps and different game modes.
Yeah it really sucks. I’ve heard so much feedback saying “It’s still available in the Big Team Battle and Team Slayer playlist though so calm down”, which I think is total BS. Halo CE will hardly ever get majority vote, that’s just the way it is. When I can only play for an hour or two on any given night I don’t want to spend 90% playing games I don’t want to play. I want to sign on and play Halo CE not the other ones and right now that’s not possible. I’m not sure why H3 or H4 have their own dedicated playlist when you can still play them online from the actual game and not the MCC. Why not give the one Halo game that was never played online a chance?
I agree. And what is more concerning to me is hearing them planning to release Halo: CE playlists according to some non-transparent ‘feedback.’ Was there a poll I missed? Why are they only planning a 2v2 Halo:CE playlist? Can they really dodge online Halo again? This is becoming the most drawn-out ridiculous “come, on, man” of all time. lol.
They took out the CE playlist at launch while they optimize netcode. It will be there.
However, it will be 2v2, which I disagree with. Should be 4v4.
Yeah, this was a huge disappointment. The first thing I did was load up, head to multiplayer and look for a Halo: CE playlist. It’s unfathomable why this hasn’t been done properly yet. I really hope we get at least 4v4 Halo CE multiplayer sometime relatively soon.
2v2 seemed to be the most common setup over XBC, so I guess that’s why they want to go that route? Who knows, but I would personally like to see it expanded as well. Halo CE is literally the only reason I bought MCC, I have 0 interest in playing any of the other Halo’s. Given how disappointing the entire lineup has been on console I’ll probably end up selling my Xbox if they don’t give CE the attention it deserves.
