Halo: CE Needs 4v4 and 5v5 Competitive Queues

Hello Microsoft, 343 Studios, and fellow Halo enthusiasts around the world…I am known as Theseus and I have been playing Halo on the PC since 2004, a year after its release.

Halo: Combat Evolved was released on September 30th, 2003 a day that changed mine and many of my friend’s lives forever.

The original game was riddled with input lag, ghost grenades, warping, and as many of you know, the infamous in game mechanic known as “lead”.

You would have to aim your shots ahead of your opponent, dependent on your ping in the server.

While this added a layer of skill to the game, it was extremely unbalanced, but the day has finally come…Halo is back!

We made the best of it, organizing our own competition through CAL, TWL, Clanbase, Klanwars, HPT, and THD. However, we have never had developer supported competitive modes - now the long forgotten Halo PC community has returned.

We very much need 4v4 and 5v5 competitive queues at the very least!

hell yeah - need 4v4 / 5v5 competitive implemented NOW!

100% agree. 4v4+ was much more common in the competitive scene of Halo Custom Edition. People are going to get burned out just doing 2v2s when it’s just constant Pup (powerup) control and spawn forcing.

This allows more friends to play competitively and use more enjoyable and rewarding strategies for CTF, Assault, and other asset control modes.

It would be very detrimental to omit additional playlist sizes from the competitive playlist for CE. A lot of players from back in glory days of CE on PC are coming back and are really wanting this. Above comments already agreeing and I’m sure there will be more.

We’re looking out for the lifespan of MCC with these additions as well. We know this will only help the player base. Don’t let all your hard work go to waste for a small dose of nostalgia and then burning out the players who love this game.

Agreed. 4v4/5v5 was a solid competitive scene back in the day that not everyone was aware of. I don’t see any reason not to have it, especially while MCC PC is limited with available ranked playlists (3 for reach, 1 for H1) with only two games out.

Pick one, either 4v4 or 5v5. Cant have both.
