A few weeks ago I hopped online and played some good ol’ Halo PC. It had been awhile… like several months. After playing a few rounds, I had tat same feeling of wanting to play it in a LAN on xbox. So I got my old group back together last night and we LAN’d until the wee hours of the morning. It is so hard for me to describe what makes this game so much better than the other ones. And I’m not even speaking behind a nostalgic mist. The OP pistol is amazing. The timing is amazing. The maps are amazing.

Seriously, people ask for remade maps all of the time. Even when they remake a CE map in one of the newer games, it’s just not the same because the playability is completely different… no weapon timing, messed up spawns, even physics. I hope my original xbox still has a few years left in it, because I’m LANing ever Thursday night from now on.

I wish enough of my old LANing friends were still around to do this. The few of us that were still living in the same area would LAN every few months up until last summer when the two other core guys moved. I’m so bummed. I wish CEA would have been the CE remake we’ve all been asking for since Halo 2’s release.
