Halo CE mode

So I had an idea I call it Halo CE mode in this mode all weapons have just as many shots as they did in Halo CE before having to reload also the amount of extra ammunition you can carry in Halo CE is back in this mode and last the the pistol and plasma pistol damage level would be be back to its former glory in this mode what do you all think

This idea is for the Campaign

The CE Assault Rifle is already in the game it’s called the SAW

Sounds fun in theory, but don’t we already have some classic-style playlists and a CE pistol variant? I might be wrong but I coulda swore there was a variant like that in H5.

There is. It’s a Mythic weapon.

When I read the title I was thinking more along the lines of Infinite having a mode with CE graphics, that would be so cool.

That’s not a bad idea either

We don’t know if the SAW’s going to be in Infinite.

I really don’t want it to be.

CE mode should be the base of the campaign, if you get me. You can’t be the best Halo game without taking and evolving with CE and H3 had.

I think it’s likely we’ll see the repeated trend of 343i making custom playlists with altered player traits and weapon availability/tuning to emulate more “classic” Halo experiences.

Whether or not it will be kept around on a more than occasional novelty basis is going to depend maybe more than anything on whether the MP for Infinite maintains a large enough population to keep these more niche playlists relatively active and from diverting too many players from the main playlists. Halo used to have that kind of Matchmaking population, but ever since Halo 4’s MP kind of lost 2/3 of its player base at once, the series just hasn’t seemed to have been able to sustain that kind of vitality online.
