I have had issues running the anniversary titles since i got my new pc. My new specs are i5 10400f, rtx 3060 oc and 16 gb 3200mhz ram. But for some reason i get 45 fps during loading screens, it goes from 120fps to 45fps! I play on the highest settings on 1080p! This should not be a problem for my pc. Both games run like crap, no offense to the porters of the game to pc, but why is this the case? Halo 2 anniversary lags so much its unplayable, the framerate is so unstable i can’t enjoy it, halo ce anniversary runs better but still runs horribly.
I have no issues running the other games, i get a solid 200 fps on almost all other games in the collection! The problem is the anniversary titles only, lowering the settings don’t do anything, i still have horrible framerates that make it unplayable.
All i want is to enjoy my favorite franchise of all time. I have loved this franchise ever since i got my first xbox!
Odd question but do you use Razer Synapse? I have a friend who has this issue as well and he found from an old thread somewhere that someone had said turning off Synapse fixed this issue and it did for him

Finally someone responds. Ty, you have my eternal gratitude. Also no i don’t. I believe i have a corsair mouse, im pretty sure i don’t have any software installed for that. Some people say that reinstalling windows fixes the issue, i doubt that very much to be honest. I have like 400gb-500gb worth of games im not gonna reinstall all of them to try to fix a issue on a game that shouldn’t be there in the first place! Besides my internet rn is extremely unstable which is most likely a issue the entire town i live in has! Thank you for responding <3 :^)

I have heard reinstalling MCC itself could fix the issue but I’m not too sure if it’s worth a shot. I do sometimes get stuttering during H2A campaign so it could also just be an issue with H:CE/2A in general

I could try that 50gb for both campaigns i think. Thanks i can try, but yeah i too think it’s the game not our computers.
Well. The issue is still there, i don’t get why though? How can low end hardware run halo 2 anniversary better than my midrange pc? Well whatever, i hope 343 fixes it, if not i’ll just play those two on xbox instead.

I know this probably won’t help, but I don’t think it’s your PC. I’ve been playing on a Xbox One X and H2A suffers from really bad framerate drops and massive input lag. I had the same experience with CE: It’s better, but not much.

Do not worry it’s fine. I’m just happy people respond Makes me happy, haha. But yeah i get lag issues during halo 2 anniversary on my series s. Honestly the game looks lile crap on 120fps. Its like 680p.
