I was wondering if Halo: Ce Anniversary and H2A use the same original engines from back in the day.
Im less sure about H2A because it uses high definition textures and fmv’s and i don’t think the original Halo 2 engine could handle that.
Halo: CE anniversary maybe uses Reach engine or something else?

Halo CE is using gearbox from PC in terms of it not exactly the OG for Xbox. A lot is broken and missing details. It has yet to be seen to be fixed up as the OG Xbox.
As for the Halo 2. Its the Origional from what I can see.
As for the details of CE Anniversary and H2A enhancements its from the MCC that was on xbox.

Major patches in the season 7 flight corrected most of CEs visual issues to align with the xbox version.

Its amazing how 343 managed to make those newer graphics work on a 20 years old engine.
Yeah i noticed that from the gameplay and some videos, but like NoBagNebby said its their are currently fixing it and they already release some fixed levels in the Season 7 flight.

To be fair it actually used the Vista port of H2. They used the PC ports of both since it was probably easier to port over since it natively has 30+ fps support, high resolutions, etc…
CEA came from the Xbox 360 port from 9 years ago, and H2A debut on MCC

IIrc there was a video from 343 showcasing the CEA demo and they mentioned about building the graphics to work with the port. Honestly they did a good job with it, only gripes were parts of it were too bright (like the library).

Unfortunatly 343 guilty spark creepy atmosphere was ruined in CE Anniversary, and a lot of levels are really too bright
